Colombia and Poland are both fighting for their World Cup lives as they meet up on Sunday in a critical Group H match.

The national football team for Colombia had to deal with a handicap the last time it took the field, and they are hoping that getting back to full strength - and then some - with the re-insertion of their best player, will help propel them into the knockout phase of the World Cup. Poland is facing a similar possible elimination as these teams meet up at 2 PM ET in Kazan. If you are a BetAnySports customer, you can get great odds on the match itself, along with a multitude of props, and the chance to place wagers on the game while it is in progress, courtesy of Live Betting Ultra.

Colombia found itself behind the eight-ball early in its opening match against Japan, as three minutes in, they lost Carlos Sanchez to a red card. So they had to move forward with only ten men, and they paid the price by way of a 2-1 defeat. They also were dealt an unlucky hand in the respect that James Rodriguez, who won the Golden Boot at the World Cup four years ago, was relegated to the sidelines due to a calf injury, although he did enter the action eventually as a substitute. According to coach Jose Pekerman, Rodriguez's situation has improved and he will likely start the match. There is almost no choice for the Colombians, who will find themselves eliminated in the group stage, in all likelihood, with another loss.

Poland will continue to miss defender Kamil Glik, whose injured shoulder keeps him out of another game. He will probably be able to play in the third group match for the squad, although it may be too late by that time. Losing 2-1 to Senegal was a big blow, and they are looking at a do-or-die situation here.

In the World Cup odds that have been posted on this match by the people at BetAnySports, the Colombian team is favored:

Colombia +119
Poland +274
Draw +239

Colombia -1/2 Goal +117
Poland +1/2 Goal -132

Under 2.5 Goals -140
Over 2.5 Goals +125

Sanchez, a midfielder, was sent off by the officials in what was the first ejection in this World Cup tournament, and it left Colombia to play 87 minutes against Japan short-handed. You can truly use the cliche "on any given day" when it comes to the competitiveness of Group H, so Japan is a capable and disciplined enough squad to pull off that upset. Sanchez was judged to have interfered with Japan's Shinji Kagawa, and a goal on the penalty kick that ensued provided the winning margin.

Sanchez, who has 80 international caps to his credit, will not be available for this game, because the red card was accompanied by a single-match suspension. And Colombian police have been investigating a number of online death threats Sanchez has received.

For Monaco's Radamel Falcao, who missed the World Cup four years ago with a knee injury, it is far too early to go home, but he adds: "We all know this is a match that will determine who will continue in the World Cup." Falcao is the most prolific international scorer in Colombia's history, but it has been acknowledged that he isn't necessarily the guy who can do the most damage here - that is, if Rodriguez is fit.

Rodriguez and Poland's Robert Lewandowski are teammates with Bayern Munich, and it could well be that whichever of these goal-scoring superstars can be more explosive offensively could be the determining factor as to who will move on to the Round of 16. Poland's defensive shortcomings are readily apparent, and it goes without saying that Los Cafeteros are tougher to handle with eleven players than just ten. Lewandowski, who connected on sixteen goals in ten qualifying games, was denied against Senegal and that could make him especially dangerous here, but Poland's is without Gilk, and that means Colombia may be in a better position to prevent the other team's big gun fro making the difference, sending us in the direction of Colombia in this match.
