Can the Chicago Blackhawks put the finishing touches on their Stanley Cup victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night at the United Center?

There is nothing like winning a big series at home, because you get to celebrate it with your fans. And that is what the Chicago Blackhawks are undoubtedly feeling as they get set for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning. They have a 3-2 lead i games and have done it the hard way, winning three different 2-1 decisions against the highest scoring team in the NHL, and now there is the chance to win a clinching game at home for the first time since 1938. In those days "home" was Chicago Stadium. Now it's the United Center, where the puck will be dropped at 8:05 PM ET. And even after that happens, BetAnySports customers can place wagers through the facilities of Live Betting Extra, the innovative feature that allows for betting to happen while the game is actually in progress.

When you can hold the Lightning to a single goal three different times, then you are doing an outstanding job on defense and in goal, and there is no doubt that the Hawks' core of four defensemen has risen to the occasion, as has Corey Crawford, who lost his job for a short time in the playoff series against the Nashville Predators. On Saturday night he stopped 31 of the 32 shots that came his way, and he has been a bit more consistent than his counterpart, Tampa Bay's Ben Bishop. We say only "a bit" more consistent because all five games in the series have been decided by one goal.

In the Stanley Cup lines posted on this game by the people at BetAnySports, the Blackhawks have been installed as the favorite, as might be expected:

Chicago Blackhawks -170
Tampa Bay Lightning +150

Over 5 goals -135
Under 5 goals +115

Through all the talk about his injuries, both real and imagined, Bishop has been good enough to keep the Lightning in the game every time he's gone out there, but a mistake on his part put the team in any early hole. As the puck drifted down the ice during one sequence early in the first period, Bishop came charging out of the net near the faceoff circle and got there at about the same time as defenseman Victor Hedman, who is about as big as he is. They collided, and the puck wound up in the possession of Patrick Sharp, who slammed it into an empty net for his first goal in 14 games.

BetAnySports patrons who have been following these Stanley Cup festivities closely know that the Lightning have been able to come back from defeat quite often, and they also know that there have not been any three-game losing streaks for this team all season. What they have noticed as well is that Steven Stamkos, who was #2 in the league in goals, has gone scoreless i this series. Tyler Johnson of the "Triplets" line, who has 13 goals in the playoffs to lead everyone, has scored only in Game 2. Tampa Bay fans will have their fingers crossed that Nikita Kucherov, who has ten goals and 22 points in this post-season, will be cleared to play after slamming into the goal post following a collision with Crawford on Saturday.
