The Los Angeles Rams, coming off their first loss of the season, will try to rebound with a win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon.

No one really figured that the Los Angeles Rams would get through an entire NFL regular-season schedule undefeated, and even though they were able to erase an 18-point deficit, they did not ultimately have enough to match Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints last week. Now they look to rebound as they play host to the Seattle Seahawks in a game that begins at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. While CBS is televising it, BetAnySports customers can access Live Betting Ultra to make real-time wagers and prolong the excitement.

The Rams, of course, benefit from the offensive concepts of young head coach Sean McVay, who met with a lot of critics, including former Rams head coach Mike Martz, upon taking the job, but has pretty much erased the doubts. This is a genuine Super Bowl contender, despite last week's 45-35 loss at the Superdome. Jared Goff has had a phenomenal season, with 60% completions and 20 touchdown passes. But of course, the big gun on offense is Todd Gurley, who has 868 rushing yards and has added 362 more in receptions.

The Seahawks had a disappointing effort last week against the Los Angeles Chargers, losing 25-17 on their home field. Defensively, they are not really the same bunch of guys that went to the Super Bowl twice, but they have still been pretty respectable, allowing just 6.6 yards per passing attempt, a figure that indicates they might be able to slow down the Rams and Goff, who averages 9.2 yards per pass, to a certain extent. In Seattle has become a pretty hard-nosed team on offense, running the football more than half the time.

In the NFL odds that have been posted on this game by the folks at BetAnySports, the Rams are a solid favorite at home:

Los Angeles Rams -9.5
Seattle Seahawks +9.5

Over 50.5 points -110
Under 50.5 points -110

When you talk about the ground game for the Seahawks, you are talking about an area that could exploit a possible Los Angeles weakness on defense, as the NFC West leaders have allowed 4.7 yards per carry. The Seahawks drafted Rashaad Penny in the first round, so no one thought that Chris Carson (497 yards) would wind up being the guy who became the workhorse in the backfield. But he's been exactly that, and Pete Carroll has succeeded in making the rushing attack something opponents have to prepare for.

Despite last week's failures, they're also getting a solid season out of Russell Wilson, who is 66% accurate with 18 touchdown passes. Wilson is not a dink-and-dunk guy; he has always gotten the ball down the field and averages over eight yards an attempt. Yes, he will take his sacks, but he's not going to go crazy making all kinds of mistakes. The Seahawks have turned the ball over only seven times this season. And maybe, with the extra time he could buy with his legs, he could exploit the Los Angeles secondary, which is not only without Aqib Talib but has gotten a very substandard season out of Marcus Peters, who has allowed the guys he's shadowed to have 344 yards in receptions the last two weeks.

This is the second meeting between these clubs; in the first one, Seattle had 190 rushing yards, while holding Gurley to 77 yards on 22 carries, and the game went to the final gun, with the Rams kicking a field goal to win 33-31. Carson has been bothered by a hip injury, so the status as to his participation is important. But we have a feeling that if need be, the Seahawks can make do with Mike Davis back there, enough to make a very competitive game once again. So we take the points.
