Ryan Fitzpatrick is on fire the first two weeks, and he'll lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers couldn't be more pleased with what has happened on offense for them in the first two weeks of the season, as they have scored victories over two teams that made the playoffs last year, including the Super Bowl champion. So here they come into the Monday night football game, against a Pittsburgh Steelers squad that is still looking for its first win. This contest gets underway at 8:15 PM ET at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, and if you are signed up with BetAnySports, you're going to have the opportunity to place wagers, even after the opening kickoff, when you access what they have available through Live Betting Ultra.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has been around forever, and has seemingly been employed by half the teams in the NFL. There's a reason he sticks around - because he has been a somewhat reliable option for teams when they need a stop-gap at quarterback. That was the purpose this season, as the Bucs had him on hand to start the campaign as Jameis Winston sat out his NFL-mandated three-game suspension. However, he has looked not like a journeyman, but rather a thoroughbred, as he has burned those first two opponents.

Tampa Bay free pick MNFFitzpatrick has a 151.5 quarterback rating, derived from 78.7% completions, 819 yards and eight touchdowns. And it's not as if any of this is happening by accident, at least when you look at the people he is throwing to. There are few duos more dynamic than Mike Evans (17 catches, 230 yards), who has the kind of size cornerbacks always have a hard time with. Maybe he's "Thunder," while DeSean Johnson (nine catches, 275 yards) is "Lightning," and still haunting enemy secondaries with big plays. And tight end OJ Howard, last year's first-round pick, has caught just five passes, but he's traveled 150 yards with them.

There is speculation that when Winston comes back, he may found out he's ceded his starting job to the Harvard grad. A lot may depend upon Monday night's result.

In the Monday Night Football odds as they are posted by the folks over at BetAnySports, the Bucs are the slight favorites:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -1
Pittsburgh Steelers +1

Over 54 points -110
Under 54 points -110

Pittsburgh has obviously not gotten what they've wanted out of the first two games, as they fought to a 21-21 tie with Cleveland in the opener and then lost a 42-37 shootout with the Kansas City Chiefs in which Patrick Mahomes, with just a few NFL starts under his belt, torched them for six TD passes. And they are still without superstar running back Le'Veon Bell, a situation that may persist. They are reportedly shopping their decorated holdout around to other teams. Not having him in the lineup has not been a favorable state of affairs in the past, and having James Conner in the backfield isn't the worst thing in the world, but it's not quite the same. Antonio Brown is also reportedly upset about his role in the offense. He's averaging just 8.9 yards per reception. So there's some turbulence in the Steel City.

Pittsburgh SteelersAfter being so generous to Mahomes, it would indeed appear that the Steelers are vulnerable to being ripped apart by the "hot hand." And make no mistake about it - Fitzpatrick is to be taken seriously, as are his receivers. But for how long? He's only had a string of three consecutive passer ratings twice in his career, and two of his three best ratings have come in these first two games. Even with that full-scale aerial assault, the Bucs could not put more than one possession's worth of distance between themselves and either of these first two foes. Their pass defense gave up more yards than anyone last year, and they have not gotten off to an auspicious start, allowing opponents to compete 77.4% for 8.1 yards an attempt.

And let's look at it from another angle - the Steelers committed six turnovers against the Browns, and still came out with a tie. And they surrendered all those TD passes to the Chiefs, yet only lost by five points. What if Fitzpatrick isn't at his best? Or falters in some way? If Pittsburgh doesn't crumble in the secondary, they can come out of here with a road win.
