Free pick and preview of the New York Yankees at Los Angeles Angels MLB matchup on Wednesday.

The New York Yankees will wrap-up a three-game series out West against the Los Angeles Angels this Wednesday night in a game that will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. The Yankees opened this series with a 4-1 loss on Monday night as +119 underdogs on VietBet's closing MLB money line odds and they have been listed as +113 underdogs for Tuesday's Game 2. The total stayed UNDER the closing line of 8 in the series opener and it has been set at 8 for Tuesday night.

NY Yankees MLB bettingLooking at the MLB betting odds for the series finale at VietBet, the Yankees are listed as +116 road underdogs with Los Angeles set as a -126 favorite at home. The total is once again set at 8.

New York is now a half-game in back of Tampa Bay and Baltimore in the crowded AL East Division race at 41-36 and it is just 3-6 over its last nine games. This includes a 2-3 record through the first five games in this seven-game road trip. The total has stayed UNDER in four of the Yankees' last five games after the only managed to score a total of just 14 runs.

Look for Adam Warren to get the start for New York on Wednesday night. The right-hander is 5-5 on the year with a 3.59 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. Warren last faced the Angels on June 6 at home and he held them to two earned runs on four hits to get the win.

Los Angeles is still chasing the surprising Houston Astros in the AL West, but it has cut the lead to four games with a 5-2 record in its last seven games. The AngeMLB Basball bettingls are now 40-37 on the year and riding a three-game winning streak into Tuesday's contest. The total has stayed UNDER in eight of their last nine games.

Matt Shoemaker is expected to be on the mound as the Angels' starter for Wednesday's matchup. He is 4-6 overall through 14 previous starts and his ERA stands at 5.03 with a 1.25 WHIP. The right-hander has lost two of his last three starts, but he did pitch fairly well his last time out by holding Seattle to two earned runs on seven hits through six innings of work.

Both of these teams have had some issues scoring runs lately and, riding some strong trends on the total line in which it has stayed UNDER in six of the last nine meetings, I am leaning that way again with the UNDER as my top pick for Wednesday night on VietBet's betting line of 8.
