From a value perspective, that helps if you prefer UCF. In addition, the Pirates are 6-15 ATS as underdogs and 0-6 ATS vs. teams scoring 37 or more PPG.

Iowa is Iowa. The names on the jersey's change, but what the Hawkeyes do under coach Kirk Ferentz does not. But bettors see a Maryland team that has a large quickness and speed edge and because of that Iowa has been lowered from -13 to -9.5. Whether the Terps cover or not comes down to if they can run on Iowa's No.4 run defense. Maryland is 16th nationally in yards per point and is efficient offensively, but I'll say the new spread is a tick too low with the Hawkeyes 21-6 ATS versus teams averaging 230 or more rushing YPG and they win by 10.

This will be a Keith Jackson special, where the game will be decided "...by the hosses in the trenches." The total in this Big 12 battle has collapsed from 45.5 to 41. I'm the first to admit this would seem to have all the makings of a game that would not sniff 40 points. Yet, when you think about coaches and their willingness to pull out all the stops, you have to take in consideration their effect. Coach Harbaugh is 15-6 OVER when playing against a team with a winning record and Coach Dantonio is 9-1 OVER as a home underdog.
