Top-ranked Alabama goes up against #22 Texas A&M in one of the marquee games for Saturday afternoon's college football.

No intro - let's roll:

TEXAS A&M AT ALABAMA, 3:30 PM ET
LINE at BetAnySports, Alabama -26, Total 61

Alabama is simply an offensive juggernaut right now, averaging 56.7 points per game. They give you that wto-quarterback situation where each guy has different attributes. And as usual, the defense works – they took a Mississippi team that had one of the best sets of receivers in the country and held them to 133 passing yards and nine first downs. Yes, we realize that the Aggies are nationally-ranked. And they gave Clemson a very hard time. But we would like to see someone slow down Nick Saban's team first. GO WITH: Alabama

CHARLOTTE AT MASSACHUSETTS, 3:30 PM ET
LINE: UMass -7.5, Total 58

Here we have a real question as to who is going to play quarterback for the Minutemen. Both Andrew Ford and Russ Comis went down in last week's game against Florida international, leaving things in the hands of Michael Curtis, who was very inconsistent. Plus, Massachusetts' receivers dropped passes, and this team has been prone to special teams failures. The defense has allowed more first downs than any other FBS squad. Charlotte, with game manager Chris Reynolds at the controls, keeps the chains moving, as the 49ers have converted 49% on third down. GO WITH: Charlotte

GARDNER-WEBB AT APPALACHIAN STATE, 3:30 PM ET
LINE: Appalachian State -45 (-120), Total 56

Appalachian State comes off a bye, but they looked extremely efficient last time out. Zack Thomas completed all 14 of his passes, and Gardner-Webb, which is not a top-notch FCS school, is 99th among those entries in Total Defense. GO WITH: Appalachian State

MIAMI OF OHIO AT BOWLING GREEN, 3 PM ET
LINE at BetAnySports: Miami of Ohio -6.5 (-115), Total 53.5

Miami has not run the ball a whole lot so far, but they have a veteran offensive line (brought all five starters back), so they should be able to exploit the Bowling Green defense, which has allowed more rushing yards than anyone in the country, by 50 yards per game. They have allowed 6.7 yards per carry, and Eastern Kentucky had 387 yards on the ground against them. Payback in order for the Redhawks. GO WITH: Miami of Ohio

MAINE AT CENTRAL MICHIGAN, 3 PM ET
LINE: Central Michigan -3.5 (-120), Total 55

Maine looked like a real wrecking crew in their opener, holding New Hampshire, a nationally-ranked FCS team, to 108 total yards. And then they showed some real heart last week, rallying from a 21-0 deficit to defeat Western Kentucky. These guys are absolutely for real, and Central Michigan has struggled on offense, to the point where coach John Bonamego has taken a junior-college transfer who has not played since 2015 (Tommy Lazzaro) and inserted him at quarterback, off a respectable but not outstanding half of play against Northern Illinois last week. GO WITH: Maine

WESTERN KENTUCKY AT BALL STATE, 3 PM ET
LINE: Ball State -3 (-105), Total 54

Western Kentucky has to be a little deflated after blowing that 21-point lead against Maine, but all in all they might have better personnel. Ball State needs to stay out of special teams trouble here, as they got buried by it against Indiana. There are problems at the quarterback position on both sides. GO WITH: Under 54

MCNEESE STATE AT BYU, 6 PM ET
LINE: BYU -21 (-120), Total 40

– Yes, the cougars are sky-I after scoring a road win at Wisconsin, and that got them the #25 spot in the Associated Press poll. They've managed to keep turnovers down, but they been out-game by their opponents, both rushing and passing. McNeese State has a very capable quarterback in James to Barry (73% completions) and they can put pressure on the passer (14 sacks). If BYU suffers any kind of a letdown, this can be a tight game. GO WITH: McNeese State
