American Idol Predictions: Odds and Picks for the Season 14 Finale

American Idol is down to the last 3 contestants. Check inside for the winner and updated odds for the Finale.

The big news regarding American Idol announced this week is that next year will be the final season. The news was inevitable as viewership continues to decline and the demographic watching the show (i.e. young girls) isn't ones who advertisers seem that interested in. It seems even the return of Simon Cowell or Randy Jackson could save the show at this point. The show has run its course and it's time for it to be put to sleep.

As for this year's show, we are now down to the final 3 contestants. To no one's surprise Rayvon was finally voted out last week but somewhat surprisingly Jax was in the bottom 2 as well. While Jax arguably has the best personality and a voice comparable to Clark it's clear she's in the wrong demographic to win this. The vast majority of voters are younger girls who tend to vote for the young guys and unfortunately for Jax the sperm that conceived her didn't have a Y chromosome. If there is one positive going for Jax it is that Nick and Clark are of the same demographic and it's quite possible that they could split the vote and allow her to win. But the vote last week seems to indicate that's not likely. Nick has come on strong but sites that monitor voting seem to show that Clark has consistently been at the top of the voting and there's no reason to expect that to change now. He was among the favorites from the get go and thus has to still be the favorite to win it all. With that in mind here are the final odds for the competition (for entertainment purposes only).

Odds to win American Idol:
Clark  3 to 5
Nick   3 to 1
Jax     4 to 1

Odds to be the next Amrican Idol eliminated:
Jax    1 to 1
Nick   6 to 5
Clark  6 to 1
