2020 NFL Week 4 Best Bets

A look at Week 4 of the NFL, with some betting tips and top picks for the week.

Three picks for Week 4 NFL betting

After the upcoming week of play in the NFL, we will be one quarter of the way through the 2020 season.

The first scare of the season hits us this week as the Steelers - Titans game has now been postponed and rescheduled for later in the season.

The NFL thought the game could be played Monday or Tuesday, but a few more positive coronavirus tests came back and nixed the game for Week 4.

WEEKLY FOOTBALL SQUARES CONTEST IS BACK

Despite the Steelers and Titans not playing, there are still some clear best bets in Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season.

Browns at Cowboys (-4.5)

The Cleveland contingent is at it again. "We’re 2-1!"

Yes, but you are still the Cleveland Browns.

Cowboys free pickThis week, Cleveland heads to Dallas. The Browns are a cool 0-7 ATS in their last seven away games. Oh yeah, they’re 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.

Cleveland is not going to stop the offense that is the Cowboys. Dak Prescott picked up where he left off a year ago and is once again leading the NFL in passing with 1,188 yard and five touchdowns.

The Browns rank in the bottom third of the NFL in pass defense giving up over 265 yards per game. Prescott, plus the running game led by Ezekiel Elliott, is going to be too much for Cleveland to handle, especially since they are playing at home.

Plus, Dallas has actually been tested through its first three games of the season.

Before we move on, check out our NFL Week 3 Best Bets.

Seattle (-6.5) at Miami

Russell Wilson is now the favorite to win the NFL's MVP at America's Bookie. Through three games, Wilson has completed 76.7 percent of his passes and has thrown an NFL record 14 touchdown passes.

Seattle Seahawks betting tipsWilson is so good that one hardly notices that it is the Seahawks that have the NFL's worst pass defense after three games. The Seahawks have given up over 400 yards to Dak Prescott and Matt Ryan and New England’s Cam Newton fell just three yards short (397).

The Seahawks will travel to Miami to play a 1:00 game. There's the whole travel thing that might scare some bettors off, but realize this about Pete Carroll-coached Seahawks teams.

They have played 23 games on the East Coast that have kicked off at 1:00 p.m. In those games, Seattle is 13-7-3 ATS. Plus, Miami’s defense gives up 267.5 yards per game through the air. The Dolphins are not going to stop Wilson, and has to be our top free pick of the week.

On the other end, don't expect the grisly Ryan Fitzpatrick to torch the Seattle secondary like the Seahawks first three opponents. This is still a struggling Miami Dolphins team.

Buffalo (-2.5) at Las Vegas

The Bills head to Vegas as a 2.5-point favorite at top online sportsbooks against a Raiders team that lost for the first time last week.

Bills Raiders free pickBuffalo was expected to be good, but maybe not this good. That's because their quarterback, Josh Allen, is emerging into a star. Allen is currently second in the NFL with 1,038 passing yards. He is completing 71.1 percent of his passes and has 10 touchdowns.

As the season progresses, it's likely that Allen gets even better. That is bad news for the Raiders who give up 406 yards per game of offense to their opponents.

Add in the fact that Allen is 9-3-2 ATS in 14 road starts in his young career and you can see why the Bills are a best bet in Week 4.
