The 2024 PGA Championship Betting Preview, Picks, Matchups and More
The second major of the PGA Tour season has arrived. The 2024 PGA Championship annually draws one of the strongest fields in golf. This year's 106th edition of the PGA Championship has 16 LIV Golf Tour players in the 156 man field, including defending champion and 3-time PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka. He's a major win contender, but the field is chasing the best golfer on the planet and 2024 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler. Last week's Wells Fargo Championship winner Rory McIlroy has seen his odds dip below 10/1, and the 4-time major champion hasn't won a major since 2014 when he won on this course at Valhalla Golf Club.
This year's PGA Championship is most likely to be won by a big hitter, of which McIlroy is ranking No. 2 on Tour in driving distance, averaging 317 yards off the tee. I've covered the PGA Championship in Forbes with three separate articles providing odds, previews, picks, stats and information you can bet on. Additional player press comments and my interview with PGA Championship Chief Championships Officer Kerry Haigh.

Beyond the betting previews, stats and picks to win and top finishing position, there are other storylines of interest. That includes Rory McIlroy filing for divorce on Monday. His game should improve if his mind is right, which it appears to be after winning the Wells Fargo Championship and Zurich Classic. Meanwhile, the dominant player in golf Scottie Scheffler has four wins this year, including the Masters, and is the heavy favorite to win Player of the Year and this year's PGA Championship. Now his distraction starts with the birth of his first child and son on Monday. Comments from Scheffler, and I don't see him near his best this week. Thus, we'll step in front of Scottie with two elite players and big plus prices in head-to-head tournament matchups. Is Swedish star Ludvig Aberg his best after withdrawing last week at the Wells Fargo Championship with a knee issue as precaution?
The online sportsbooks offer even more tournament matchups for the PGA Championship. You can check out some of the tournament matchups and offerings at top online sportsbooks like Bookmaker and below.
BetOnline also has a PGA Championship contest, and as you watch and wager on golf this week, another Preakness Stakes contest to enter as well.
