NHL trade deadline odds picksAbout 20 games remain in the regular season, and the Eastern Conference has four top teams leading the way.

Then perennial Cup contender and recent winner Tampa Bay (79) along with New York (79) are challenging with the Rangers also adding some big names and production at the trade deadline. Seven other teams are battling for the two final playoff spots in the East.

The Western Conference does not appear as strong, but defending Stanley Cup winner Colorado is getting healthier and ready to make another run.

I recently attended the Dallas Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights game and saw the Stars steal the show in the closing seconds and win 3-2 in a shootout. I attend as media, and cover some of the sports and betting action, including for Forbes. I also saw the Golden Knights score in the closing minutes to top the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 this week, and will be 'scouting' the New Jersey Devils March 3rd in their game on the Las Vegas Strip vs the Golden Knights. As a former college hockey player, following the NHL live and from press row with access to the players and coaches post game isn't too bad!
