The Kansas City Chiefs believe they're back on track, and they'll get a huge test on that as they meet Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas City Chiefs looked like a team that was kind of lost in the wilderness for much of the season. But now they have won three games in a row, and have a chance to reaffirm their status as the AFC West leader as they play host to the Dallas Cowboys in a game at Arrowhead Stadium that begins at 4:25 PM ET.

BetOnline brings you a lot of angles on this game, as you can go to Prop Builder and place wagers in a whole bunch of different ways.

The Cowboys had a serious piece of business to take care of last week. They had been beaten decisively by the Denver Broncos, in a game where Dak Prescott was coming back from a one-game injury absence, and were actually blanked until there was a little more than four minutes left. So they came back last week and devoured Atlanta 43-3 while limiting the Falcons to 214 yards.

Kansas City's three-game win streak has happened against the Giants, the Packers (with Jordan Love at quarterback) and the Las Vegas Raiders, where they broke open a tight game in the second half and rolled to a 41-14 victory. Patrick Mahomes, who has had some problems with interceptions, threw for 406 yards with five touchdowns.

The Chiefs are 6-4 and lead the AFC West by a half-game over the Raiders. The Cowboys are 7-2 and went into the weekend's action with a three-game lead in the NFC East.

In the NFL odds at BetOnline that have been posted on this game, the Chiefs are favored, and there's a big total:

Kansas City Chiefs -2.5
Dallas Cowboys +2.5

Over 55.5 points -110
Under 55.5 points -110

Dallas leads the NFL with 434 yards of offense per game. In the yards-per-drive department, they are third on offense and seventh on defense. Prescott has a 115.6 quarterback rating when he has at least 2.5 seconds to throw, and that is best number in the NFL.

Kansas City is 31st in the league in sacks, so perhaps there's a chance that Prescott can sit back in the pocket and find his targets. But one of them won't be Amari Cooper, who has to sit out of this game because he took a positive COVID-19 test. That probably puts more pressure on CeeDee Lamb to threaten the KC secondary down the field.

If you've been watching, you've seen that the Chiefs have been improving on defense, at least as it translates to their vulnerability to giving up points. In fact, they've allowed just 15.6 ppg over their last five contests. And while they were at one point last in points allowed per drive, now they're 24th.

Mahomes has to look out for the Cowboy secondary, which has 14 interceptions. But he seems to be doing that whole thing where he's taking what the defense gives him. Like the Raiders last week, they have pledged to stop explosive plays from people like Tyreek Hill. But he's adapting. The Chiefs still lead the NFL with 42.71 yards per drive, and now they are getting RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire back in the lineup.

The conditions seem right for them to take home first place in this one.
