We'll go to some of the early NFL betting opportunities, with hot teams like the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens included.

Here are some of the early games in NFL betting for Sunday, with odds posted at BetOnline. All of these games begin at 1 PM ET:

CAROLINA PANTHERS at NEW YORK GIANTS

NFL Betting Odds: Panthers -3 (-103) / Total 42.5 Points

Christian McCaffrey is once again missing from the Carolina lineup, and they have not won without him this season. But the Giants may be able to help them along. While Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard are back, Kadarius Toney can be added to the list of players shelved by injury for the Giants, and the biggest loss might be left tackle Andrew Thomas, as Daniel Jones seemed to be a little gun shy last week. On balance, have to favor the CAROLINA side.

CINCINNATI BENGALS at BALTIMORE RAVENS

Pro Football Odds: Ravens -6.5 / Total 46

We have tremendous respect for the abilities of Baltimore offensive coordinator Greg Roman. It seems this team finds a way to put points on the board, regardless of who is out of action. So we don't expect Sammy Watkins' absence to be all that significant.

We do have to applaud the Cincinnati defense for performing well above expectations, but not sure too many NFL teams are ready for what the Ravens bring. First of all, they are going to run the ball with whoever they have especially quarterback Lamar Jackson. And they are going to go down the field with Jackson. Rashod Bateman's return helps that. And Joe Burrow has a golden connection with Ja'Marr Chase, who has scored five touchdown in 27 receptions.

These teams are perfectly capable of sailing over this number. OVER 46

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS at TENNESSEE TITANS

BetOnline NFL Odds: Chiefs -4.5 (-106) / Total 57.5

Not sure we're all that interested in this total, which certainly has risen. The Titans actually have the best weapon on this field in Derrick Henry, who had 188 yards the last time these teams met. And Kansas City's defense is dead last in yards and points allowed on a per-drive basis.

With that kind of stop unit, this is too many points to give to a likely division champion on the road. TENNESSEE

WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM at GREEN BAY PACKERS

NFL Betting Lines: Packers -9 (+103) / Total 47.5 Points

Last five games for Aaron Rodgers - 12 touchdown passes and one interception. Yes, he has certainly vindicated himself after the disastrous opener against New Orleans. And speaking of disasters, that's exactly what this Washington defense is. If it wasn't for Kansas City, their drive stats would be the worst in the NFL. GREEN BAY

NEW YORK JETS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

NFL Odds: Patriots -7 (-103) / Total 42.5 Points

The Patriots are coming off back-to-back games where they had to deal with Tom Brady and Dak Prescott, both of whom are putting up big numbers this season. Now they once again have in front of them Zach Wilson, who is taking baby steps and hasn't put up big numbers, to state the obvious.

Wilson was so flustered by Bill Belichick's defense that he tossed four interceptions the first time these clubs met. And we are certainly not convinced that he has made so much progress that he won't find himself befuddled again. The Jets are averaging 2.6 points in the first half this season. The only thing that redeems then is a respectable defense. UNDER 42.5
