Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks oppose each other in one of the traditional rivalries highlighted in the early part of Sunday's NFL schedule.

Time to take a look at some of the more interesting 1 PM ET games on the NFL schedule:

CLEVELAND BROWNS at CINCINNATI BENGALS
BetAnySports NFL Odds: Browns -3 (-125), Bengals +3 (+105)
Total: 50.5 points

Last week was a complete disaster for the Cleveland offense. When you compile 220 yards and convert on third down only once, it's disaster. When you have to yank your quarterback, it's a disaster. But that was a different dynamic altogether, because it was against the Pittsburgh defense. Cincinnati will let Cleveland run; they yield 5.1 yards a carry. Will that help the Browns kill the clock? Well, they have run the ball 50% of the time. But more likely that this will permit Baker Mayfield to operate a little more efficiently.

The Bengals have this habit of playing almost a whole game; of getting part of the picture correctly. For example, they got off to a 21-0 lead on Indianapolis, and managed to lose the game. Joe Burrow often has to run for his life (24 sacks), but he's always being given the opportunity to go out and make some plays, and he's ninth in the NFL in passing yards. Sometimes the Bengals get a lot out of Joe Mixon; sometimes they don't. But Burrow was able to get the ball to AJ Green on eight occasions last week. This has been a very bitter rivalry for years and years, with Paul Brown the common thread, naturally. And it would not necessarily surprise us if the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner threw for more yards than the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner. OVER 50.5 POINTS

DALLAS COWBOYS at WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM
NFL Odds: Washington -1
Total: 44.5 points

The Cowboys did not have a chance to make Ezekiel Elliott the focal point of the offense last time out, but they got behind too far to Arizona. But maybe it's worth recognizing WHY they got so far behind. They could not stop the run (allowing 261 yards on the ground), and they also have a shaky offense, not just because Dak Prescott is out of action, but because offensive linemen are dropping like flies. As they come into this game, Dallas is missing Tyron Smith, La'el Collins, Jon Looney and now Zach Martin up front. That's a lot of talent. This makes it more difficult to get a guy like Elliott loose. What we can tell you is that unless somebody becomes a hero and corrals Washington's Chase Young, the FT's pass rush is going to be a real factor here. We can tell you that Andy Dalton can't drop back to pass 54 times like he did last week. WASHINGTON

CAROLINA PANTHERS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
BetAnySports Pro Football Line: Saints -6.5 (-115), Panthers +6.5 (-105)
Total: 50.5 points

Teddy Bridgewater had a rough outing against the stout Chicago defense last week, with two interceptions and just 216 yards. But a guy who came back from an injury that was considered by some to be career-ending should be able to bounce back against a team he steadied last season when Drew Brees had to sit out with a thumb injury. And speaking of Brees, he is still at the bottom of the list when it comes to getting the ball beyond the line of scrimmage (otherwise known as "air yards"). And there are actually rumors of trading Michael Thomas, who caught 149 passes last season. As he was getting over his high ankle sprain, Thomas punched out a teammate and got suspended. Now he has a hamstring injury that will take him out a couple of weeks. Bad stuff. Listen - we saw some positive vibes out of Carolina until running into the Bears, and we don't want to ignore that as they face a lesser defense. Both Bridgewater and offensive coordinator Joe Brady are very familiar with Sean Payton, for what it's worth. We'll take the points with CAROLINA.
