It's Aaron Rodgers vs.Jared Goff as the Green Bay Packers play host to the Detroit Lions as NFC North teams battle at Lambeau Field.

Preview and prop picks for Lions at Packers MNF game

We will find out a lot about who the Green Bay Packers are as they dive into their Monday Night Football game against the Detroit Lions, who (surprise) didn't roll over and play dead against the San Francisco 49ers last week.

Kickoff is 8:15 PM ET at Lambeau Field, and we'll take a look at five props we're going to be playing at BetOnline, which loads you down with prop bets on all the NFL games.

Jared Goff - Over 1.5 Touchdown Passes (+120)

Considering that there is the very real possibility of "garbage time" here, you'd have to say you're very lucky to be getting this price.

Let's put it this way - if you were paying attention to last week's game, you know that Dan Campbell is not the type of coach who's going to wave the white flag all that often.

Detroit Lions prop betting picksIf the Packers are able to get off to a nice lead in this game, you can expect Detroit to abandon the ground attack.

Jamaal Williams -- Over 38.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

With the Lions you basically have a two-headed backfield. D'Andre Swift, who caught 46 passes last season and had a 43-yard touchdown last Sunday, is the guy I envision to be more of the pass-catcher on the other end of Goff's throws.

Williams, who came to Detroit from Green Bay as a free agent, might be more of the workhorse carrying the football. He averaged six yards per carry against the Niners last week.

If you read what we wrote above, the Lions may wind up shelving the running game, IF they get way behind. If they don't, I like this guy's chances a lot to exceed this total.

TJ Hockenson -- Over 56.5 Receiving Yards (-130 at BetOnline)

He is already one of the premier tight ends in the NFL. And it would seem to be something organic that Hockenson is going to be Goff's favorite target. One thing that can't be overlooked is the the Lions don't necessarily have any game-breaking talents in their wide receiver corps.

Then take away the #1 guy, Tyrell Williams, and on top of that we are not sure whether #2 guy Kalif Raymond will play or how effective he'll be if he does.

Goff doesn't really make big plays, and the Packers have the kind of scheme that will minimize that effect anyway. So Goff is going to be looking toward Hockenson primarily.

Davante Adams Over 7.5 Receptions (-123)

Green Bay MNF free prop betting picksAdams isn't the only option Aaron Rodgers has on the outside. But he is the best, and the most reliable.

Last season he led the NFL in yards gained after the catch. He caught 115 passes and was targeted 34% of the time when he was on the field with Rodgers. And he also had more red zone targets than any other receiver.

Just as importantly, he and Rodgers are content with chopping away at the Detroit defense by going underneath. Adams can do something with the ball once he gets it in his hands.

Detroit Lions Over 17.5 Points (-120)

I am targeting this game as an "over" play, because I'm not so sure the Lions can slow down a motivated Rodgers, which will (a) put Detroit in a position where it has to try and trade points, or (b) create that "garbage" situation.

And let's be real honest - the Lions may not be in bad shape as far as offense is concerned. Yes, we acknowledge, as we had just mentioned, that they don't have scary wide receivers. But they should have a better running game than they've had in recent years, and the offensive line is not bad. Penei Sewell, the first-round draft pick who was shifted from right tackle to left tackle, is a nice addition.

This is not too big a threshold to cross.
