2020 NFL Week 15 Best Bets

A look at Week 15 of the NFL, with betting tips and three top picks for the week.

Betting tips and top picks for Week 15 in the NFL

In just three short weeks, we will have an NFL playoff field. Playing for the postseason often brings out the best in teams.

With this year's changes to the playoff system - seven teams in each conference as compared to six in the past - the race for the top seed in each conference becomes even more important.

That makes a Week 15 showdown in New Orleans even more thrilling. Here's a look at the best bets for week 15 in the NFL.

Kansas City at New Orleans (+2.5)

The Chiefs (12-1) took over the No. 1 seed in the AFC last week when Pittsburgh lost for the second straight week. New Orleans dropped out of the top seed in the NFC with their loss to Philadelphia.

New Orleans Saints free pickThe No. 1 seed in the playoffs has significance since only the top team in each conference receives a first-round bye. The Saints can't afford to lose ground on the Packers in the NFC, and you can bet the Chiefs don't want to give up the top spot as they try to repeat as Super Bowl champs.

Kansas City has won eight straight but has not covered a spread in its last five games as a favorite. The Chiefs are just 6-7 ATS this season.

Chiefs Saints betting tipsMeanwhile, the Saints, who won nine in a row before last week's loss, are 5-1 ATS in their last six games. New Orleans has also done extremely well following a loss under head coach Sean Payton. The Saints are 9-1 straight up in their last 10 games after a loss. They are also 12-3 ATS as an underdog coming off a loss.

WOW! Talk about bad beats last week! We weren't a part of the safety with no time remaining on the clock for the Ravens cover, but we did go 1-2 on our NFL Week 14 best bets. Our two losses came via the hook! That’s right, both losses were by half a point.

Carolina (+9) at Green Bay

It is hard to bet against Aaron Rodgers at home, but this is the week to do so. Green Bay leads the NFL in scoring averaging 31.5 points per game and their playing at home. That is why they are nine-point favorites. Use multiple online sportsbooks to shop for betting lines.

When the Packers have been heavy favorites, they have failed to put teams away. Case in point, Green Bay was a 13.5-point home favorite against a one-win Jacksonville. The Packers escaped with a 24-20 win.
Panthers Packers free play
Green Bay was an 8.5-point favorite against a struggling Philadelphia. The Packers needed a late 77-yard Aaron Jones run to cover. They also failed to cover last week as a nine-point favorite at Detroit.

The key here is Carolina QB Teddy Bridgewater. While it is hard to bet against Rodgers, it's equally hard to not back Bridgewater. He is 33-13 ATS for his career and a remarkable 23-6 ATS when playing as an underdog.

Philadelphia (+6.5) at Arizona

Jalen Hurts injected some life into the Eagles as they pulled the upset of New Orleans last week. He gives them a better chance against Arizona than Carson Wentz, who is 32-37 ATS in his career.

Eagles free pickAs the Eagles travel to Arizona, it is worth noting that road underdogs do very well against Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury. It's a small sample, but road dogs are 4-1 ATS against Kingbury. This is shaping up to be a great game to do some live betting.

That plus Hurts under center is enough to back the Eagles to cover. If you need more, consider Philly head coach Doug Pederson's record ATS without Wentz as his starting quarterback - 10-4.
