14 Betting Trends You Need To Know Before You Bet NFL Week 2 Action

A look at all of the games on the betting board for Sunday, with some quick betting trends and wagering advice.

NFL Week 2 Betting Trends

There's no other way to say it. The opening week of the 2021 NFL regular season produced some surprising results in both conferences. The Pittsburgh Steelers surprised the Buffalo Bills despite being on the road in Week 1, while the Green Bay Packers were on the wrong end of an embarrassing home loss against New Orleans.

The LA Rams dominated Chicago in their first game with Matthew Stafford calling the shots, while the Kansas City Chiefs handed the AFC Championship hopeful Cleveland Browns by pulling off a memorable comeback. Now, with another week of action set to continue on Sunday afternoon, one key trend surrounds each and every matchup on the Week 2 docket. NFL odds provided by BetAnySports.eu and are subject to change.

Miami Dolphins betting trendsBuffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
TV: FOX
Spread: Buffalo -3.5
Total: 47.5

The Over is 5-0 in the last five meetings. Miami will be looking for payback for their embarrassing 56-26 home loss suffered against Buffalo in their regular season finale last season, but the Bills have won five straight, scoring at least 30 points in each contest. Buffalo will be looking to open up the offense after getting held to 16 points in their opener against Pittsburgh.

LA Rams at Indianapolis Colts
TV: FOX
Spread: LA Rams -4
Total: 47.5

The favorite in this interconference matchup is 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings. LA has won two straight while scoring at least 38 points each time. More importantly, the Rams looked stupendous in their first game with Matthew Stafford under center last weekend while Indy underwhelmed under the guidance of the much-maligned Carson Wentz.

New England Patriots at NY Jets
TV: CBS
Spread: New England -5
Total: 43

Rookie signal-callers Mac Jones and Zach Wilson will be under center for New England and New York respectively in the first of what looks like many career head-to-head meetings in the near future. The Patriots are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and have won 10 straight against the Jets. Oh yeah, and rookie quarterbacks generally don't fare very well against Bill Belichick.

San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles
TV: FOX
Spread: San Francisco -3.5
Total: 50

The 49ers are 2-7 ATS in their last nine meetings. Philly looked great with Jalen Hurts in Week 1 while San Francisco had to hold on late to put Detroit away in a high-scoring affair. For some strange reason, the Birds usually dominate the Niners, having won six of eight and two straight including a 25-20 road win last season.

Bengals NFL Week 2 gambling trends Cincinnati Bengals at Chicago Bears
TV: FOX
Spread: Chicago -3
Total: 45.5

Not only is the Underdog in this inter-conference series 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings, but so is the road team. The Bears have won two straight and three of four, but don't think veteran Andy Dalton is better than young gun Joe Burrow at this point.

Denver Broncos at Jacksonville Jaguars
TV: CBS
Spread: Denver -6
Total: 44

The road team is this AFC rivalry is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. More importantly, the Broncos finally have a competent quarterback in veteran Teddy Bridgewater, while Jacksonville is starting over from square one and things don't looks good for the Jags in Week 2.

Cleveland Browns winning betting tipsHouston Texans at Cleveland Browns
TV: CBS
Spread: Cleveland -11.5
Total: 48

Cleveland managed to get past Houston 10-7 at home last year to snap a five-game skid in this rivalry, but Houston is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings. The Texans looked far better than expected with veteran Tyrod Taylor under center in Week 1. Could an underdog cover be in the works here?

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
TV: FOX
Spread: New Orleans -3
Total: 46

The Saints are 6-1 ATS in their last seven meetings in Carolina. New Orleans has won four straight and eight of the last nine meetings in this NFC South division rivalry. Carolina won in Week 1 behind Sam Darnold, but the Saints looked stupendous with Jameis Winston taking over for Drew Brees.

Las Vegas Raiders at Pittsburgh Steelers
TV: CBS
Spread: Pittsburgh -6
Total: 48.5

Las Vegas is 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings. The Raiders haven't really been relevant for years, but they've managed to win three of four against Pittsburgh while covering the spread in six of seven dating back to 2006. Following Monday night's upset of Baltimore, Vegas will look to make it two straight as a dog.

Minnesota at Arizona
TV: FOX, 4:05 pm
Spread: Arizona -4.5
Total: 51

Vikings betting trendsThe Vikings are 0-8 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Vikings are still led by the mediocre Kirk Cousins, which rules them out as a legitimate contender in our opinion. Arizona has a blossoming star in do-it-all dual-threat Kyler Murray and a huge upside overall. Enough said.

Atlanta at Tampa Bay

TV: FOX, 4:05 pm
Spread: Tampa Bay -13.5
Total: 53

The home team in this NFC South division rivalry is 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings. Tom Brady and the Bucs got the regular season sweep a year ago. Could we see a near repeat of Tampa Bay's 44-27 home win a year ago.

Tennessee at Seattle
TV: CBS, 4:25 pm
Spread: Seattle -5.5
Total: 52.5

Seahawks Titans betting tipsThe Seahawks are 5-0 ATS in their last five games in September. Seattle went 5-0 SU and 4-0 ATS to start the 2020 campaign and look like a team well on their way to potentially duplicating that start. On the flip side of the coin, Tennessee looked mostly inept in their Week 1 opener against Arizona.

Dallas at LA Chargers
TV: CBS, 4:25 pm
Spread: LA Chargers -3
Total: 52.5

The Cowboys are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings. The Chargers have won and covered the spread in three straight. The Bolts have the better defense and dare I say it, the better quarterback in this Week 2 inter-conference matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens
TV: NBC, 8:20 pm ET
Spread: Kansas City -2.5
Total: 55.5

The Chiefs are 4-1 ATS in their last five road dates against Baltimore. Kansas City has won four straight in this series, including three straight with Patrick Mahomes going up against Lamar Jackson. The Ravens are already banged up pretty good, while KC will look to deliver a message in this Week 2 potential AFC Championship preview.
