NFL Hall of Fame Game Free Pick - Denver Broncos vs. Atlanta Falcons

The NFL preseason schedule officially gets underway this Thursday night with the annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. Elite-rated VietBet has opened the Denver Broncos as 2.5-point favorites against the Atlanta Falcons with the total set at 34 points. Game time on NBC is set for 8 p.m.

Current NFL Betting Odds:

Denver Broncos 2.5 Denver Broncos betting preview

Denver closed out last season with a four-game losing streak both straight-up and against the spread. It slipped to 6-10 SU overall with a 6-9-1 record ATS. The total stayed UNDER in the Broncos’ last nine contests. They went an even 2-2 SU and ATS in last year’s preseason schedule with the total going OVER VietBet’s closing line in three of the four games.

Broncos’ fans should get their first look at former Missouri quarterback Drew Lock. He was the team’s third pick in the draft and the 10th overall player taken in the second round. Denver also has Joe Flacco as the apparent starter for the regular season, but it remains to be seen if he will get any playing time on Thursday night. The Broncos’ first pick in the draft was tight end Noah Fant, who played his college ball at Iowa.

Atlanta Falcons betting previewThe Falcons went 7-9 SU in 2018 with a 5-11 record ATS. They closed out last season with a trio of SU wins while going 2-1 ATS. The total went OVER VietBet’s closing line in three of their last four games of the season. Atlanta went winless (SU and ATS) in the preseason last year with the total staying UNDER in three of the four games.

Veteran quarterback Matt Ryan remains under center for Atlanta, but look for Matt Schaub and Kurt Benkert to run the offense against the Broncos. The Falcons used two first round picks in this year’s draft to beef up their offensive line. Guard Chris Lindstrom was the 14th overall player selected and tackle Kaleb McGary came off the board 31st in that opening round. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley tweaked his hamstring last week in training camp. Julio Jones is also a bit nicked up heading into this game.

This should be a rather vanilla matchup with a heavy lean towards defense. The total line is low at 34 points, but I am still going UNDER as my first official pick of the preseason. is your international headquarters for the best in NFL betting action, offering sports wagering in English, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish.
