This is the final time of the year for sportsbooks offshore to acquire new customers and have an increase in wagering handle until the next football season. Conversly, the Annual NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament is a great time for players, as almost every sportsbook will have an online bracket contest and most offer up extra sign-up and re-up incentives as Selection Sunday approaches.

Of course, here at OSGA we have already posted pre-registration for our 8th Annual Bracket Contest. This year we will feature a top prize of $500 and will again have the $10 consolation parlay available. However, Sportsbooks are giving away large sign-up bonuses and even bigger bracket contests.

One of the best contests we have seen so far is from BetOnline.com. They have a March Mayhem Bracket Contest featuring 4 brackets and 17 ways to win. They have the traditional bracket contest where, like ours, players must fill out the entire bracket before the tourney starts. They also have an Underdog Bracket, where players get more points for choosing a dog to win, a Round-by-Round Bracket in which contestants can ‘start fresh’ every round of the tourney and our favorite – the Suicide Bracket. In the Suicide contest players pick one team from each seed (16 total picks) and gather points as their pick progresses through the rounds. As the picks progress the points for each winner increase. Even if your bracket is blown up early, these contests are all geared to keep you in the game.

JustBet is offering payers a whopping 45% Free Play and a $25,000 Final Four Contest. To be eligible active customers must have a $300 balance. Both Bookmaker and Diamond Sports are giving players an extra 5% bonus and a shot at $5000 AND 50-inch plasma TVs – yes, three of them. To gain entry to this contest for every $100 deposited, players will be eligible for a free contest entry. Additional contest entries can be purchased for $10 each.

SBG Global is promoting their $500,000 Madness of March contest, with a grand prize of $175,000. The top 30 players can win anywhere from $100,000 to $6000. Active account is again required for a free entry.

And the annual BetJamaica Million Dollar Tourney Madness is also right around the corner. Pick 61 or more winners and become an instant millionaire! Or just pick enough right to be one of 300 winners that will share over $21,000 in cash prizes!

Finally, WagerWeb has told us that they will be offering a bracket contest and a 75% Free play for the ‘Big Dance’.

In all, this time of year offshore offers better stimulus package than anything here in the States. It is also the perfect time of the year to have several accounts. So start shopping and ifnd the right fit(s) for your Madness!

Mine wouldn’t have made a difference. It started with Wake Forest, then trickled down to Memphis, and now I have one of my original Final Four teams still in it.

    GO CAROLINA!
