The Off Shore Gaming Association (OSGA) is pleased to announce the winners of our first ever College Football Pick ‘Em Contest. The 2013 OSGA College Football Pick ‘Em winner is ‘Husker POWER’ who beat out over 130 contestants to win the grand prize of $500 cash.

The OSGA sponsors several football contests that run for the full football season. This year OSGA added a Free College Football Contest after getting requests and suggestions from Members and fans of the site.

The OSGA College Football Pick ‘Em was two contests in one! Each week players picked 10 of 15 games posted by the OSGA Contest Master and ranked each game to achieve the most points. There was a weekly winner crowned garnering a $250 free play at SportsBettingOnline for the player who got the most points for that week. Though a deposit was required, SportsBettingOnline gave away nearly $4000 in weekly prize Free Plays.

We are still in shock that after all of the games and potential scoring variations that there was a tie for the overall #1 spot for the season with 451 points. So the tie-breaker, the overall win percentage for the year, had to be implemented. ‘Husker POWER’s’ winning percentage was 62.58% (82-57) for the entire season smoking ‘buster73’ (75-64) by nrealy 10 percentage points! In 3rd place was ‘rudydog’ with 444 points, a record of (80-60) and a prize of $100 Cash. ‘rickstew’came in 4th with 444 points too, but had a lower win percentage and thus got $75 cash. $50 was awarded to 5th Place finisher ‘sands71’ with 442 points and 6th place winner ‘Money’, who had 435 points. $25 was awarded to places 7-10.

There was a slight delay in posting the prize winners this year as OSGA had never gotten confirmation from SportsBettingOnline regarding the second part of the contest, the overall winners. “Unfortunately, we never had sorted out the final prizes with SBO and suddenly the contest was over, right during the Holidays,” said Jim Quinn, President of OSGA. “We finally figured, let’s just give these winners cash . . . prizes one through ten. After all, who doesn’t love cash and SBO did such a great job of handing our prizes and crediting winning players, going above and beyond the call of duty for several of the winners, that we had no problem taking care of all of the final prizes.”

This has been another great year for the College Football Pick ‘Em and the OSGA Progressive Pick ‘Em, now in it’s last week. OSGA is looking forward to crowning a winner in the 11th Annual Bowl Challenge next week and their annual NCAA Tourney Contest in March.
