The Off Shore Gaming Association (OSGA) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 OSGA Pro Football Progressive Pick ‘Em Contest. The Progressive Pick ‘Em for Pro Football is now in its 12th year. Congratulations go out to ‘30344’, who beat out nearly 150 other contestants to win the huge cash grand prize.

The OSGA Pro Football Progressive Pick ‘Em was again two contests in one! Each week there was also a prize winner of a free play at OSGA Elite-rated BetOnline.ag. Every week the player with the most wins for that week was given a whopping $200 Free Play. Though a deposit was required, BetOnline gave away over $4000 in weekly prize Free Plays.

The second part of the contest is a season long “Progressive” pool that rewards players who pick all of the weeks’ games correctly. If no player hits all the games, the weekly $100 cash prize rolls over to the next week. In the three out of the last five years, the Progressive Jackpot has been hit multiple times (once for $1200). This year the pool was hit just once, in Week 8. For the 2nd consecutive year the ‘bye week’ helped out players, as ‘lennyisking’ picked all 14 games on the board correctly, scoring the Progressive Pool of $800. This win produced the full season prize pool at a maximum of $900.

With 174 wins ‘30344’ beat out the field by three games to cash in on 50% of the pool, $450 cash! ‘30344’won in Week 2 and consistently picked winners for 15 more weeks to claim the crown and cash in on the grand prize! Even with hitting all the games in Week 8 ‘lennyisking’ was unable to keep pace with ‘30344’, finishing with 171 points, and though that may have been enough to win in previous years, it was only good for 2nd place in 2018. 3rd place cashed for 10% of the pool and long time OSGA contest player ‘H8H8rs’ took home a cool $90. Fourth place belonged to ‘punter711’, just one win behind ‘H8H8rs’. And, after over 250 games ‘vikingboy13’, ‘ultra14’ and ‘Excoach33‘, all tied with 168 points. Accoring to the rules, in a tie situation, players split the prize, but at $15, we thought winners deserved better. So each of player who tied for 5th place will be getting a money order for $25 courtesy of OSGA!

Every year players seem to be getting better at the Pick ‘Em. But this season was a bit of an anomaly. In all, only 30% of the contest players hit games at a clip of 60%, where in previous years over a third of the contestants picked games at that rate. This year also saw one player, ‘lennyisking’, top the leader board in three different weeks and had several season long winning players not cash at all for one of the weekly prizes.

“We are fortunate to be able to work with some top online sportsbooks to be able to offer these contests,” stated Jim Quinn from OSGA. “Every year the contest plays out a bit differently! This year we had tie for the top spot in multiple weeks, including a three-way tie in week 15. Luckily, our contest sponsor, BetOnline, came through for all players and rewarded multiple prizes each week there was a tie,” added Quinn.

This has been another great year for the OSGA Progressive Pick ‘Em. OSGA is looking forward to crowning a winner in the 16th Annual Bowl Challenge next week.
