Last night’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship game was one for the ages and many are calling it the best Final game of all time. Now, it is time to crown the winner of the 2016 OSGA NCAA Tournament Challenge.

‘sunshine’ took the lead during the Elite 8 round and did not relinquish it until last night when players who had picked Villanova jumped to the top of the leader board. Instead ‘stormy1114’ finished in 1st place with a whopping 152 points to take the Grand Prize of $250 courtesy of OSGA. Unfortunately for ‘stormy1114’ he is not an OSGA member or he could have collected double the prize and received a check for $500! Become an OSGA Member here.

Half of the players in the contest picked either Kansas or Michigan State and thus this contest was wide open once the only remaining top seed was North Carolina. The Tar Heels were the 3rd favorite pick with 27 players choosing them to win it all. When they lost last night that opened the door for the 9 players who took Villanova.

‘kerry1106’ missed winning the grand prize by just one point, finishing second with 151 points to collect the $100 non-member prize. ‘jcolem65’ had 148 points to take the 3rd place prize of a $100 Free Play from Elite-rated BetOnline.ag. The fourth place prize of $75 went to ‘STEVIEG76’, who had 138 points, which would have been good enough to cash the Grand Prize in previous years. ‘Abel’ rounded out the top 5, claiming $50 courtesy of OSGA.

Places 6 through 10 are all eligible for for a Free ‘no strings attached’ $25 bet from contest sponsor BetOnline.ag. ‘Laxbeast’, who has been having some good luck in recent OSGA contests came in 6th place with 135 points. The top prize for a player who picked North Carolina went to the aforementioned ‘sunshine’ who dropped to 7th place when Chris Jenkins knocked down the 3-point buzzer beater.

Long time OSGA contest participant ‘tonky’ had ‘Nova and came in 8th with 127 points, where his 125 points landed him in 4th place last year. ‘gorays’ took the 9th spot with 117 points. Finally, ‘ebb17’, who took North Carolina as his champ, took the final Free Bet prize with 113 points. To view the complete standings click here

This was the 15th year for the OSGA NCAA Basketball Challenge and again this year the standings flipped and flopped from day-to-day and even game-to-game. We enjoy bringing these contests to everyone, but wish we had seen an OSGA member cash-in with one of the biggest benefits of membership, 2X prizes in all of our contests. We have to thank one of the longest supporters of OSGA and our free contests, BetOnline, who not only does a great job for bettors, but for our contests as well.

Players should check back often for more free contests and we urge players to enroll in our annual football contests come September. In 2016, OSGA is committed to offering more contests, with more great prizes for all members, fans, friends and visitors.

Remember OSGA Members get EXTRA prizes and contests! Become an OSGA Member here.
