It took just 9 weeks, after a bunch of NFL favorites lost in the first two weeks of the season, until ‘laxbeast’ was the only player remaining in the 2015 OSGA Last Man Standing Contest. For outlasting the field of over 130 entrants ‘laxbeast’ wins the grand prize, $1000 in free betting money at Elite-rated WagerWeb.

The Last Man Standing Contest is one of two Free NFL contests on the osga.com website with over 100 participants and thousands in cash and prizes up for grabs. Each week players had to pick just one NFL team straight up, with no point spread, to win a game. But, throughout the course of the entire NFL season, no team could be selected twice. This “one-and-done” event was co-sponsored by WagerWeb, who offered up huge free plays for the top four finishers including $1000 in free betting money for the Last Man Standing. In all, WagerWeb offered up a $2500 prize pool for players that had an active account.

“’laxbeast’ is a newer player here at OSGA. In fact, he did not play in the previous version of the Last Man Standing contest, just three years ago. We are glad to see some fresh blood infused into the winners pool!” said Jim Quinn, President of OSGA.

After just four weeks of the NFL season, the Last Man Standing field was whittled down to just four players, with more than half of the players eligible for the consolation prize – a $25 Free Play at WagerWeb – for players who were out by October 1st. Losses by the Colts, Eagles and Saints in just the first two weeks decimated the field, knocking out over 100 players.

‘tonky’ busted out in week 5, but that was still good enough for 4th place and $250 in Free Play money at WagerWeb. Two weeks later ‘theguesser’ went down, taking the 3rd place prize, $500 in free play betting money. ‘Jaws37’ and ‘laxbeast’ battled it out and yesterday ‘Jaws37’ took the New Orleans Saints, who somehow lost to the Tennessee Titans. Though he is not the Last Man Standing, ‘Jaws37’ will get $750 from WagerWeb. And who did the champ win with? The J E T S, Jets.

This was the fourth time OSGA offered the Last Man Standing Contest, and the contests on the osga.com website continue to feature bigger prizes and stout competition. Check back next September as players again try to pick just one single winner . . . straight up . . . each week.
