This weekend two OSGA football contests ended and players were rewarded for picking games at incredible rates with big prizes.

The 2014 OSGA College Football Pick ‘Em ended after it’s 13 week run and again this year there was a tie for one if the prize positions. This contest was sponsored by SportsBettingOnline who gave out over $3000 worth of free plays including the final week where Touchdown Tommy beat out the field by just one point even though he and ‘theguesser’ were tied with 8 wins.

This was the last week of this great contest in which players chose ten games from the hand-picked list and played against-the-spread. Players defined each game with a point value and those totals generated the leader board. ‘tigersfan’ had a great year of picking games and ended with 410 points, a clear winner for the overall #1 spot for the season, beating the second best player, ‘Ratel’ by 14 points. ‘tigersfan’ will get $500 courtesy of OSGA for his season-long effort and Runner-up ‘Ratel’ will get $250. ‘Robertyes’ tied for third place with 390 points but had a higher winning percentage than ‘thebarkman’ who after picking 130 games also had 390 points! ‘Robertyes’ is eligible to get $125 and ‘thebarkman’ will grab $75, courtesy of OSGA. Rounding out the prizes is ‘harnpar’ who will grab 50 bucks for his 384 point, 5th place effort.

The 2014 OSGA Thanksgiving Pick ‘Em was a huge success with the largest turnout for the weekend contest in its three year history. The big twist for this year – OSGA Members were able to grab 2X cash prizes. The contest featured 24 games over the entire holiday weekend, both College and Pro football. As with the college contest, contestants had to assign point values to each game and with 24 points for the best pick, this contest was wide open until Sunday night.

However, Members prevailed throughout the weekend. Fourth place finisher in the College season contest, ‘thebarkman’, prevailed over the holiday with an impressive 232 points! The prize for winning the contest was $200, but since ‘thebarkman’ is a longtime OSGA member, he is entitled to 2X Prizes! We will be sending him a $400 check courtesy of OSGA!! That’s a pretty good weekend for one of our long standing members ad we are happy to see it.

Runner-up ‘Terrence’ is another long-time member and finished with 202 points to grab his 2X prize of $200 cash. Members RJtheDog and Jaws 37 were close to 2x prizes but instead are eligible for free bets for Elite-rated BetPhoenix, who sponsored the contest for the second year in a row.

Congratulations to ALL the winners of the OSGA football contests. There are still a few weeks left in the 2014 OSGA Progressive Pick ‘Em and many players are still vying for the season prize and the free bet offered by contest sponsor, BetOnline. The contest ends on Sunday December 28 with the final gun of the final regular season NFL game.
