This is not the first time that the San Diego area and its sports teams have been affected by fires. Four years ago, the Chargers moved a Monday night home game due to deadly wildfires as their stadium was bring used for evacuees. This year’s fires have casued San Diego State to reschedule its game with Brigham Young from this Saturday to Dec 1. This game is being played at Qulacomm Stadium, home of the Chargers. The Chargers have already moved thier practices to Phoenix, Arizona and may not be able to host their scheduled game versus the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon. This game has been taken off the board at sportsbooks around the world as the location for this game may be moved. No books want to put this back up yet, as any bets already placed may end up being no action. Books will wait until a firm decison comes down from the NFL.
The LA Lakers have also cancelled a preseason NBA game against Utah on Thursday night that was to be played at the San Diego Sports Arena.
UPDATE: 10.26.2007
The NFL has announced that the San Diego Chargers game will be played on Sunday in Qualcomm Stadium as scheduled.
Some shops still do not have a new wager offered. The opening line of -11 is now down to Chargers -9 at Bookmaker, slightly higher at Pinnacle. Please double check any wagers placed prior to this new announcement.

BetRoyal, purchased by SBG Global over the summer in 2007, has finished an investigation into collusion in violation of their rules by several players. These players all are from the same area and purchase selections from the same handicapping service. Royal customers were purchased by SBG and reports are that the new owners were fully aware of these players and their reliance on the same handicapper. Reports from several players state that winnings have now been confiscated and their new account balances are zero! Apparently, Royal is willing to send back original deposits, but not winnings…. in the tens of thousands of dollars!!
We had been in contact with SBG/Royal over the last several weeks in regards to this situation, but have not heard from management since their apparent resolution over the weekend. Look for more in the coming days…….

We contacted several sources today in regards to a report on BETonSPORTS player funds from the Bloomberg News Service via an article we posted from the Caribbean Net News.
Here is some of what we were told.
“The report is false”, stated Kaye McDonald, Director of Offshore Gaming in Antigua. Since then, a Press Release has been issued by the Antigua government stating, “The FSRC, Division of Gaming continues to work with the Directors of BOS to ensure that customers, staff and other creditors’ claims are repaid.”
BETonSPORTS has reported to us that, “There is still an expectation of getting payouts to everybody, or at least a partial payment.” However, we have found that there are no more employees at the company and thus the phone lines are no longer being answered.
The District Attorney in St. Louis confirmed today in a phone interview that the sentencing for BETonSPORTS, plc (the company) has been delayed and the previous date of October 19th has been moved to June 23, 2008, as reported. There is no financial data available yet for players, but BOS will have to produce some records within 60 days.
Please check back at osga.com tomorrow as we are still working on this evolving story.

U.S. officials on Monday released new regulations designed to put into effect a law aimed at stopping most forms of Internet gambling (UIGEA).
The new U.S. regulations would make the banks responsible for blocking credit and debit card payments for online gambling. However, banking officials appear to have successfully argued that it is not practical for the banks to identify and block customers from sending checks and making some other types of transfers.
The Treasury Department has said that it will accept public comment on these regulations through December 12.
We currently have lawyers looking at the proposed regulations and have contacted major players in the industry from sportsbooks to payment processors. We expect to have a full report on what this means to the future of moving money to and from your favorite gambling site next week.

Make sure to check back at in this space next week for a full report and tools to get involved.
