Bodog.com customers have been unable to access the online gambling website for the past 12 hours as the result of a domain problem. Bodog is quite aware of the situation and is working hard to get this matter rectified as soon as possible.

We received dozens of calls and emails regarding this situation and just received the following from Bodog.

“We are currently experiencing DNS issues with our website.

Until resolved, Bodog’s customers should visit www.newbodog.com for the complete Bodog experience.

Nearly all aspects of the website have been updated to reflect the environment clients are accustomed to at Bodog.com. We are working to resolve any remaining issues on the temporary site as soon as possible. We will have further updates as information becomes available.”

So keep your eyes on your email and this space. We will post updates as soon as they can be verified.

The island of Jamaica itself has no power and no running water, but the two major books on the island are up and running. The offices of both BetJamaica and TheGreek are running on generators and water tanks, so they are a-ok. Both books’ internet, phones and payouts operating at 100%. We are happy to report that both companies and their employees suffered no serious injuries.

The inevitable has happened. Several sportsbooks are calling ex-BETonSPORTS customers to come and play with their sportsbook in 2007. It seems like the list of Millennium Sports players has found its way into the hands of several books. Some cold calling representatives have even identified themselves as ex- Millennium employees.

Though obtaining customers is getting tougher in today’s marketplace, this is a low blow to players who have been waiting with very little contact and only empty promises of payouts for over a year. Irate callers to the OSGA phone lines have repeated over and over that they would never sign up with a place that solicits them in this way, “We know that you lost money with Betonsports, but we are 100% safe and this won’t happen to us.”

We urge players who are contacted to check with us prior to sending any money in light of these solicitations. It will not be long before less-than-reputable operators get ahold of one of these lists.
