BETonSPORTS update

Posted by Administrator on 21 Sep 2006 | Tagged as: Promotions

The recent court date for BETonSPORTS provided some confirmation on what we have heard from within the BOS operation - that things are moving forward, behind the scenes, with the US Department of Justice. We had reported last month that lawyers from BETonSPORTS had been working discreetly with the DOJ on matters such as payout methodology, foreign customers and the TRO.

It looks like players will be required to take a check. For this to happen, BETonSPORTS will need players’ current addresses and only the name on the account will be able to take the payout. Thus, if you recently got divorced and the account was in your wife’s name – she is going to get the payout when money starts to flow. If you have moved or had a zip code change or gotten married and changed your last name or entered the witness protection program, you should contact BETonSPORTS at (866) 481-3057 or use the form that we have setup on our website.

Basically, we have been told that when the floodgates open, BETonSPORTS will contact each player that has been in touch with them, verify the information and cut a check. If the information that they have on file is incorrect or outdated, that players’ payout may be delayed. Fill out the BOS Payout Request form here.

BETonSPORTS TRO Extended Again

Posted by Administrator on 19 Sep 2006 | Tagged as: Promotions

Today in a St. Louis Court BETonSPORTS again faced an extension of a temporary restraining order against doing business with US customers.

“What we are interested in doing is resolving this matter,” BetOnSports lawyer Jeffrey Demerath told U.S. District Judge Carol Jackson.

Demerath told Jackson that discussions were aimed at resolving both the civil and criminal charges.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Fagan agreed, telling Jackson, “I think we can resolve matters.”
