Bestline Sports has relocated in Panama to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility. The move was a giant undertaking as Bestline gears up for the 2006/2007 football season. We toured this vast facility recently and were nothing short of impressed. Look for big things from Bestline Sports in the coming months!

Last week we removed BETonSPORTS and its affiliated properties form our list of Endorsed and Certified Sportsbooks. This temporary move was done for several reasons:

1) We believed it was a disservice to new OSGA visitors to point them to a book that temporarily cannot take bets
2) Our goal is to recommend only the top sportsbooks, casinos and poker rooms in the world - a gambling house that cannot take bets certainly should not be included in this list.
3) A publicly-traded company is certainly solid, but we did not want to create any more speculation about BETonSPORTS that we would be unable to answer with facts.

We still anticipate BETonSPORTS and its affiliated properties to come back online in the coming days. We will post factual information as soon as it becomes available.

A statement from AIM listed BETonSPORTS said: “While changing flights in the USA en route from the United Kingdom to Costa Rica, David Carruthers, Chief Executive of BETonSPORTS plc was detained by US federal authorities.

It is unclear at this point if this outrage against a non-US citizen is directly relatedto recent gaming regulation and the Wire Act or if authorities are seeking to gain information against the former BETonSPORTS head man, a US citizen.

The UK media has been abuzz with the culmination of a criminal investigation into the affairs of ex-champion jockey Kieren Fallon and seven others now facing charges of conspiracy to defraud. A key element in the case stems from alleged irregular betting patterns spotted on Betfair, the international online betting exchange.

Using sophisticated tracking software to flag suspicious betting activity any betting service reserves the right to provide account information to official regulators.

Betfair spokesman Jack Houghton said: “Our technology enables us to provide regulatory bodies with the information to achieve transparency and integrity.”
