Well the madness is over and what a great championship game it was!!! It is time to crown the winner of the 2015 OSGA NCAA Tournament Challenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcjakesbombers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 took the lead during the Elite 8 round and did not relinquish it, despite having Wisconsin as his NCAA Champion. He finished in 1st place with 135 points to take the Grand Prize of $250 courtesy of OSGA. Unfortunately for \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcjakesbombers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 he is not an OSGA member or he could have collected double the prize<\/strong> and received a check for $500!<\/p>\n

So many players picked Kentucky, that this contest was wide open once the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcCats lost in the Final Four. Ironically the 2nd place finisher also had Wisconsin in the Final. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Hold em\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 managed to get 131 points for the 2nd place prize \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a $250 Free Play from Elite\u00e2\u20ac\u201crated BetOnline<\/a>. The top prize for a player who picked Duke <\/strong>went to third place finisher \u00e2\u20ac\u0153DueTime\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153DueTime ended up with 128 points, good enough for a $100 Free Play from BetOnline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>In all only 7 players had picked Duke to win it all and places 4 and 5 were awarded to more winners who had Wisconsin. \u00e2\u20ac\u02dctonky\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 placed 4th with 125 points and \u00e2\u20ac\u02dctmoore\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 ended up with 120. Neither player is an OSGA Member and thus they get the 1X prizes or $75 and $50 respectively. <\/p>\n

It really got interesting for the standings once we got to 6th place. Places 6 and 7 were tied with 119 points. Then the next several spots were all tied with 115 points. This meant that places 8-12 were also tied, and though the stated contest prizes were only available to places 1-10, our excellent sponsor, BetOnline<\/a>, decided to give the same prizes for places 6 through 10 to the 11th and 12th place finishers as well. All players are eligible for a Free \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcno strings attached\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 $25 bet at BetOnline<\/strong>.ag.<\/p>\n

For bragging rights, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbeastmodejr\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcDawk20\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 tied with 119, but \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbeastmodejr\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 was closer to the final score of the championship game, the 1st tie-breaker. Both players had Duek as their champion and both are eligible for the $25 free bet at BetOnline. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Dawk20\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, a regular in the OSGA contest offerings, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dccolem65\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcmike191\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcirbyjenn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 each had 115 points and are also eligible for the free $25 bet.<\/p>\n

This was the 14th year for the OSGA NCAA Basketball Challenge and again this year the standings flipped and flopped from day-to-day and even game-to-game. We enjoy bringing these contests to everyone, but wish we had seen an OSGA member cash-in with one of the biggest benefits of membership, 2X prizes in all of our contests.
