Once Florida went down, the contest was really up for grabs. Ultimately, <strong>UConn <\/strong>prevailed, yet no contestant took them to win it all. However, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcMike191\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 bested the field over nearly 150 players by 8 points using Kentucky as his runner-up, claiming the Grand Prize in the 2014 OSGA NCAA Tournament Contest.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcMike191\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, he was not an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osga.com\/members\/signup.html\">OSGA member<\/a> prior to the start of the contest and thus only qualifies for a grand prize of $250.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122mchdad&#8217; will receive the 2nd place prize of a $200 Free Play at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osga.com\/osgabooks\/gtbets.html\" target=\"_blank\">Premier-rated GTBets<\/a> and \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfrancesba\u00e2\u20ac\u00b2 will also grab a $100 Free Play from GTBets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.osga.com\/contestcentral.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"float: left; border: 2px solid white; margin: 2px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.osga.com\/images\/2014_ncaatourneywinners.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"310\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153When Florida lost very few players even had a team alive for the National Championship. It would have been cool to see one player with UConn\u00e2\u20ac\u0153, said Jim Quinn, OSGA president. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153As it was, only a handful of players even had teams alive in the Final Four.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Contestants were awarded points in the bracket style contest and many were still alive going into the last weekend of the tourney, as the Final Four winners yielded 12 points and the tourney champion 16. The most points that could be accumulated were 184. \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcMike191\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 finished with just 90 points. Last year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s winner had 118 points while previous winners had over 150 total points. The contest was a wild ride for many players who saw crazy swings in the standings each week due to the stunning upsets of Duke, Cincinnati and Villanova in the early rounds. In fact, heading into the Final Four, this was the 2nd year ever that the National Champion might not have been picked, and it was the first year it has happened.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the prize breakdown.
