The Los Angeles Dodgers will try to go up two games to none over the Tampa Bay Rays as the World Series continues on Wednesday at Globe Life Field.

Losing by a score of 8-3 in Game 1 of the World Series was enough of a sting for the Tampa Bay Rays. But the manager is on the end of some second-guessing as to whether he should have pulled his pitcher earlier rather than let him face the Los Angeles Dodgers' lineup for the third time.

And so we go into Game 2 with those questions being asked. The first pitch will be thrown at 8:08 PM ET, and as you probably know by now, all the games are being played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX. BetAnySports customers can benefit from reduced juice, which can deliver better odds, and then after the game has started, Sports Betting Prime enables real-time wagers, so you can keep going all night long.

Control was an issue for Tampa Bay's Game 1 starter, Tyler Glasnow, who gave up six walks, and manager Kevin Cash was in an interesting position, because he knew that at some point, he had to worry about preserving bullpen.

However, Cash is being second-guessed for allowing Glasnow to go through the Dodgers' order a third time, because that is where a lot of the damage was done. Frankly, that starting pitchers in the year 2020 are even mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson or Juan Marichal shows a lack of perspective.

And yes, we include Clayton Kershaw in there. He did pitch extremely well, giving up just two hits, with the only significant activity against him a fifth-inning homer by Kevin Kiermaier. He was taken out after six innings. And Dave Roberts did not have to over-extend his bullpen.

Here are the Game 2 World Series betting odds, as they have been posted at BetAnySports:

Los Angeles Dodgers -129 (Gonsolin - R)
Tampa Bay Rays +119 (Snell - L)

Over 8 Runs -115
Under 8 Runs -105

The Rays hope things will be a little less problematic on Wednesday.

The tentative plan was for them to be facing Walker Buehler, who allowed just one run in eleven innings and struck out 13 in the National League Championship Series. But Buehler will go in Game 3 instead, as he'll have full rest. The Game 2 starter may be the "opener" for a bullpenning situation. Tony Gonsolin will take the hill, and he will be coming in on two days' rest.

The Dodgers may be hoping to get at least a couple of innings out of him, and the hope is that he'll fare better than he did in the NLCS, where he gave up seven earned runs in 6-1/3 innings. During the regular season, the right-hander gave up just 1.4 walks per nine innings and two homers in 46-2/3 frames. His WHIP ratio was a sizzling .084. And this is a starting pitcher we're talking about.

Roberts has some options at his disposal to follow Gonsolin, and that would include the nasty Dustin May (who threw only 18 pitches three days ago) and Julio Urias, both of whom were involved in Game 7 against the Braves. So those guys can't be taxed too much.

But Cash will be on his toes managing his personnel to counter the plethora of pitchers his team will have to face.

At the same time, he'll be looking to get some distance out of his own starter. Blake Snell, the 2018 Cy Young winner, has compiled a solid 3.20 ERA with 19 strikeouts during the post-season. What should be noted here is that Snell has also walked ten and given up four homers in the playoffs. It's something that may be inviting to the robust Dodger offense. Oh,and did we mention that Mookie Betts hit his second post-season homer in 34 games last night? All the guy needed was a little confidence boost LOL.

Los Angeles may actually be in better shape here than if Buehler came in on short rest. They've got basically everyone available, and I'm not sure that Tampa Bay underdog price is inviting enough. So it's the Dodgers here in Game 2.
