The 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills in Long Island will challenge players ability far more than stats and scoring. The grueling test and links layout will expose many players shortcomings around the elevated green complexes. Especially on approach and moreso if the strength of the wind comes into play, which is projected and critical when it comes to scoring.
