Is US President Donald Trump about to face impeachment?

The list of people who believe so seems to grow daily. It would appear that those in favor may even include the man himself.

Tuesday, Trump, known for his history of bizzare Twitter posts, completed one of his all-caps rants with the words, “Impeach the Pres.”

That opinion is certainly growing in popularity.

Across a number of leading sportsbooks, Trump’s impeachment odds currently average out +110. Just two weeks ago, that average was set at +210.

Bovada has dropped its odds favoring a Trump impeachment from +105 to -125.

Impeach the Pres?
Trump’s odd tweet immediately led to the hashtag #ImpeachThePres trending on Twitter. Some suggested it was a Freudian slip.

Much like his rants against the Mueller report, the President has complained that his Impeachment inquiry was nothing more than a witch hunt and that Democrats have been unsuccessfully seeking to impeach him since he entered the Oval Office in January of 2017.

Then again, he’s also the guy who willingly admits asking the Ukrainian President for dirt on Democractic Presidential candidate Joe Biden. Trump has bascally confirmed the gist of what he’s facing impeachment for in the House.

He’s also publicly asked China to investigate Biden. Requesting foreign involvement in a US election is an impeachable offense.

Russian interference in the 2016 US Presidential election has been confirmed, and there continue to be serious questions about the relationship between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“All roads seem to lead to Putin with the President,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Tuesday.

Latest Impeachment News
State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary George Kent testified before Congress on Tuesday. Kent reported that when he’d raised concerns about the involvement of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani undermining US foreign policy in Ukraine, he was told to mind his own business and lay low.

Meanwhile, Giuliani and Vice-President Mike Pence both confirmed Tuesday that they won’t comply with  subpoenas issued by Impeachment committees and turn over documents relating to Ukraine.

In general, innocent people don’t refuse to cooperate with the authorities.

Giuliani also fired Jon Sale, the lawyer representing him in the Ukraine inquiry.

Impeachment is Coming for Trump
Of course Trump is going to be impeached. The Democrats control the House. That’s where impeachment takes place.

Besides, the more that information comes out about what Trump and his administration have been doing behind closed doors, the more impeachment looks to be the only alternative.

“Let’s impeach the President’ isn’t that a good idea?” Trump said during a press conference Tuesday in the Rose Garden to recognize the Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues.

Unlike the Blues’ shock Cup triumph, more people seem to be wagering on impeachment being a likely outcome.

Pick: Yes (-125)
