NFL - (261) Baltimore at (262) Minnesota  Total 48 /Sunday, Nov. 9 – 1:00 p.m. ET /FOX

Baltimore and Minnesota had their regular starting quarterbacks under center last Sunday, and each team had an impressive victory. Because it’s the NFL, the working question was, are the Ravens and Vikings serious playoff teams making a move? Bettors tried predicting the future, lifting this nonconference clash total from 46.5 to 48. Each offense played more fluidly, with the defenses controlling large portions of last week’s tilts.  Update: The total has kept rising, sitting now at 49. The key to the total is that both offenses have playmakers. Each defense prefers to attack, which leaves them vulnerable to big plays. We’ll go against the public here since road teams like the Ravens, in a game involving two teams conceding 23-27 PPG in the second half of the season, after allowing seven points or less in the first half in two straight games, are 28-7 UNDER.
