Charles Jay presents his mock first round for the NFL Draft and applies that to some of the draft props that BetOnline has out on the board.

For what it's worth, and for whoever cares, this is my first round, amateur-level, non-scout, non-guru mock NFL Draft.

And who knows - maybe it turns out as good as anybody else's.

Its purpose is two-fold. For one thing, it can apply to my entry into BetOnline's NFL Mini-Mock Draft Contest, which involves having to predict who the top ten draft picks are going to be, in order. By the way, there is still time to enter, as you can win and grab your share of a $5,000 prize pool.

And the other purpose is to utilize it as a barometer - a guide, if you will - as to which way to go with any number of the special NFL Draft props that are currently available at BetOnline.

Here is what I have for Round 1:.

1) Jacksonville Jaguars -- Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
2) New York Jets -- Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
3) San Francisco 49ers (from HOU through MIA) -- Mac Jones, QB, Alabama
4) Atlanta Falcons (* or whoever is selecting) -- Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State
5) Cincinnati Bengals -- Ja'marr Chase, WR, LSU
6) Miami Dolphins (from PHI) -- Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida
7) Detroit Lions -- Jaylen Waddle,WR, Alabama
8) Carolina Panthers -- Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon (* should be higher)
9) Denver Broncos -- Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina
10) Dallas Cowboys -- Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama
11) New York Giants - Devonta Smith, WR, Alabama
12) Philadelphia Eagles (from SF through MIA) -- Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State
13) Los Angeles Chargers -- Rashawn Slater, OL, Northwestern
14) Minnesota Vikings -- Jaelan Phillips, DL-LB, Miami
15) New England Patriots -- Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State (yup, here's the "big drop")
16) Arizona Cardinals -- Greg Newsome, CB, Northwestern
17) Las Vegas Raiders -- Kwity Paye, LB-DE, Michigan
18) Miami Dolphins -- Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
19) Washington Football Team -- Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech
20) Chicago Bears -- Elijah Moore, WR,Ole Miss
21) Indianapolis Colts -- Alijah Vera-Tucker, OL, USC
22) Tennessee Titans --Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
23) New York Jets (from SEA) -- Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State
24) Pittsburgh Steelers -- Samuel Cosmi, OL, Texas
25) Jacksonville Jaguars (from LAR) -- Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama
26) Cleveland Browns -- Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
27) Baltimore Ravens -- Jayson Oweh, LB-DE, Penn State
28) New Orleans Saints -- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame
29) Green Bay Packers -- Jamin Davis, LB, Kentucky
30) Buffalo Bills -- Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
31) Baltimore Ravens (from KC) -- Terrace Marshall, WR, LSU
32) Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU

So, according to my "stuff," I would be favoring the following prop plays at BetOnline.

* JAYCEE HORN (+175) as the top defensive player chosen, and +110 to be first cornerback chosen.
* MAC JONES (-210) as the third pick overall.
* JAELAN PHILLIPS (+100) to be first defensive lineman chosen.
* NAJEE HARRIS (-225) to be first running back selected.
* JAYLEN WADDLE (-260) to be selected ahead of Devonta Smith
. * OVER 5.5 Alabama players taken in first round (-225).
* UNDER 6.5 offensive linemen drafted in first round (-130)
* OVER 18.5 offensive players taken in first round (-145)
* Devonta Smith UNDER 11.5 selection number (+115)
* Kyle Pitts OVER 5.5 selection number (+200)
* Micah Parsons UNDER 14.5 selection number (-155)
* Christian Darrisaw OVER 15.5 selection number (-185)
* Greg Newsome UNDER 23.5 selection number (-130)*Penei Sewell OVER 6.5 selection number (-140, although I don't know if I would actually play this one, since he could go fourth to Cincinnati)
* The Packers will NOT draft a quarterback in Round 1 (-175)

There are a number of others in which you could plug in a selection on a prop, but we wouldn't play all of them.

Also......

* Arizona's first pick will be DEFENSE (-170)
* Buffalo's first pick will be OFFENSE (+160)
* Dallas' first pick will be DEFENSE (-500)

Actually, I could go down all 32 teams like that, but I would much prefer that you check out the props yourself at BetOnline and plug the values in. And don't forget that you still have time to enter either of two different contests available - the $5,000 NFL Draft Predictor, in which they will ask you some NFL Draft prop questions, and also the $5,000 NFL Mini-Mock Draft. For both of them, you'll have to have an account first and wager $25 in real money on the draft. So join up using every conceivable payment method, including cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin!
