Hot Betting Events for the Weekend of June 25-27

Huge betting opportunities are on tap for this weekend. Check out this week's betting tips for NBA Playoffs, MMA, NHL Playoffs and a great MLB series.

The NHL and NBA are headed towards their respective championships, but futures are still available for both the NBA Championship and the Stanley Cup Winner.

A big MLB series takes place in the Bay area and MMA action is in full force with Bellator 261 on Friday and  UFC Vegas 30 in Vegas on Saturday. It’s heating up outside and this weekend’s card is full of hot betting events.

NHL: Stanley Cup

Last night the surprising Montreal Canadiens advanced to the NHL Finals. They will compete for the Stanley Cup against either the Tampa Bay Lightning or the New York Islanders. Those two teams face off tonight at 8PM with the Lightning as -162 money line favorites at Betonline.ag

The Lightning are still the favorites to win the Stanley Cup, but Montreal will get an extra day of rest before the puck drops Monday night on the final series of the playoffs. Montreal is having one of those magic runs and are +175 to  win the Cup. If the Islanders end up taking their series. Montreal will be the favorite to win it all.

If you like the Canadiens, you won't get a better line for them to hoist the Cup than right now.

NBA: Player Props

And Stanley Cup futures aren't the only ones on the board. The NBA is still playing their Conference finals and with the top seeds in both divisions already eliminated, the Championship is up for grabs more than any of the previous five years.

There is an NBA game each night until the finals are set and the Milwaukee Bucks are enormous 7.5 point favorites at betting giant BookMaker tonight after losing Game 1 to the Hawks. The Suns are slight favorites on the road tomorrow against the Clippers after losing their first game since May 27 last night. Chris Paul returned from a lengthy absence for the Suns and was awful going just five of 19 from the field.

Look for some opportunities this weekend to unload on player props for these NBA Conference finals games. Trae Young poured in 48 points vs. the Bucks on Thursday night and has a total of 31.5 tonight. The Bucks know they cannot allow Young to fire and score at will and expect to advance to the Finals.

Chris Paul is too much of a professional and too good a player to continue shooting in the 25% ballpark. He shot nearly 40% from beyond the arc this season and a 47% shooter throughout his career. Look for an advantage as his total point line should hover around 12 of look at the prop for points+rebounds+assists, if you can find it.

MLB: Bay Action

Major League Baseball has tried to create rivalries over the last few season  and none more evident than pitting San Francisco against Oakland. Both teams are having great seasons, with Oakland at the top of the AL West and the Giants in second in the NL West, behind the streaking Astros.

The Giants have won 8 of their last nine games but managed just one win last year versus their 'rivals'. Tonight the A's send Sean Manaea to the hill. He's got a 1.65 ERA in his last 7 outings and the A's are 11-4 when he starts. Jazz Sports has the A's as -140 favorites tonight.

Tomorrow the Giants start Alex Wood, who was an All-Star back in 2017, when he went 16-3 with the Dodgers. He's struggled since then and managed just three innings in his last outing against the Phillies and had a rough month of June overall.

In the rubber match, Oakland is projected to start lefty Cole Irvin. Though he's had a solid year, the Giants are 13-8 against left-handed starters. However, the A's won all four of Irvin's starts in June.

MMA weekend

An interim championship is on the line when Tim Johnson and Valentin Moldavsky meet on Friday night. this interim fight for the heavyweight champion is a first in Bellator MMA history. Moldavsky is a -270 favorite at the leading online sportsbooks

UFC Fight night continues in Vegas with UFC Vegas 30 and another heavyweight bout headlines the card. Elite strikers Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov face off in the final match of a card that starts at 4Pm ET Gane is ranked #3 in the world and is a -175 favorite over #5 Volkov. Volkov hasn't face very tough competition in his most recent fights and Gane has five straight victories. Gane may be this weekend's best bet.
