NFL Week 18 Preview And Picks

Big game betting driving more interest, engagement and entertainment for 2025 NFL Week 18 picks, props and parlays includes three top games I analyze. Those include division titles and playoff spots to the winners of Carolina at Tampa Bay Saturday and Baltimore at Pittsburgh Sunday night. The NFL Week 18 schedule will also determine the No. 1 seeds in the AFC and NFC with the big Seattle at San Francisco contest to determine the NFC West champion and No. 1 seed.

A Denver Broncos win as big favorite over LA Chargers resting starters secures the AFC No. 1 seed. Another upstart New England Patriots is the likely No. 2 seed with a win as big favorite. The Patriots have already secured the AFC East title with the new MVP favorite, QB Drake Maye (-275) off a big Week 17 performace to now lead Rams QB Matthew Stafford (+200) for the Most Valuable Player award.

Check out more Week 18 injury reports, and monitor the NFL weather noting rain definitely in the forecast in Tampa for the Bucs-Panthers winner-take-all NFC South clash and also rain in Santa Clara for the Niners-Seahawks showdown for the NFC West title and No. 1 seed. Of course, it's freezing cold (20's) in Chicago and slight chance of snow and freezing rain for Bears-Lions where former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson gets the last laugh this season as Bears new head coach. Chicago goes worst-to-first to win the division while the defending NFC North champions Lions miss the playoffs. Bears not likely to forget the 52-21 loss to the Lions in Week 2. A solid winning month in December and 8-2 ATS on side/spread picks since Week 11 (more opinions). Not the 11-1 ATS run in December in 2023 posted here at OSGA, and the 57% ATS results on NFL underdog picks from 2017-2023. But hope your profited from the experience this season and our picks, props and parlays, and tips, totals and teasers with insight, analysis and information you can bet on.

NFL Week 18 Picks

- Picks: None yet (8-2 since Week 11)
- Opinions: Buccaneers, Jaguars, Saints

3-team parlay: Buccaneers, Jaguars, Rams
2-team 'Dog parlay: Saints, Packers

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy to start for Vikings, driving the line up from -7 to -9.5. May hit 10 to add to any Packers bets or parlays.

Carolina at Tampa Bay - NFC South first place showdown between the Panthers (8-8) and Buccaneers (7-9). A Panthers win secures the division title and first round home game in the playoffs. Panthers Buccaneers free pickCarolina can also lose to Tampa Bay and win the division with a Falcons win over the Saints. Not counting on bumbling QB Bryce Young this time after supporting the Panthers two weeks ago in their 23-20 win as 'Dog over the Bucs when neither team reached 300 yards total offense. You saw last week's pathetic perforance by Young and the Panthers (40 passing, 110 total offense) in a 27-10 home loss to Seattle. Prefer the now healthier Bucs to get redemption out of a strong 76% ATS angle. That despite the Panthers holding the DES edge in 3 of 4 key defensive stats. Incredibly, Tampa Bay is on a 1-7 SU and 0-8 ATS slide entering this division showdown but still have a chance to win the division! Hidden ATS gem, teams that have lost 8 or more straight games ATS are 12-0-1 ATS as a favorite or 'Dog to +6.5, according to Dr. Bob Sports data base and research.

New Orleans at Atlanta - The Saints (6-10) and Falcons (7-9) are playing better down the stretch than the NFC South winner between Carolina (8-8) and Tampa Bay (7-9). The Saints are on a 4-0 SU and 5-0 ATS run led by improving rookie QB Tyler Shough. The Falcons have a top-5 running game (130/game) led by NFC rushing leader Bijan Robinson, including 160 over their last three games with QB Cousins filling in well. The Saints are bottom-3 averaging 89 rushing ypg. But the Saints apply to the defensive edge system (DES) and four key defensive stat profiles across the board. The Saints/Falcons game total (over) is our top totals tip of the week.

Seattle at San Francisco - Saturday night showcase with the NFC West division title and No. 1 playoff seed and bye on the line between the road favorite Seahawks (13-3) and 49ers (12-4), who may now be playing without top OL Trent Williams. Monitoring the status of Niners TE George Kittle too for a potential prop play on other 49ers receivers. Check in Saturday for any updates and additional information you can bet on.

Baltimore at Pittsburgh - Sunday night showdown for all the marbles in the AFC North. The Ravens (8-8) had a number of officials calls go against them in the Week 14 home loss to the Steelers (9-7), 27-22. AFC North pick Ravens SteelersEvaluating injuries and status including QB Lamar Jackson (back), who practiced this week and will play (updated Sat), along with Steelers star DE TJ Watt (lung). Ravens running game points to a win if it plays out as projected, but still we know Lamar can fk up with mistakes and turnovers. Incredible stats: Of 98 games between the Ravens and Steelers since 1991, 48 have been one-score games, with 28 of those games decided by a field goal or less. Home 'Dog normally attractive, but not biting yet with Pittsburgh blowing their chance to win the division last week in a 13-6 loss at Cleveland and the running game guidelines supporting the Ravens. Where's the Steelers offense without WR DK Metcalf a second straight week?

Defensive Stats

Four key defensive stats are often linked to SU and ATS success when a team has the edge in 3 or 4 of the stats. This has proven profitable over the second half of the season in competitively-lined games (6 points or less).

- Yards per play
- Defensive points allowed
- Yardage differential
- Defensive yards per rush

NFL Player Props

Steelers RB Kenneth Gainwell - Over 28.5 receiving yards
Ravens TE Isaiha Likely - Over 22.5 receiving yards

Gainwell was just voted team MVP by his teammates. He has just 527 rushing yards (4.8 ypr), but leads the Steelers with 65 receptions. Jaylen Warren is the lead runner, but with both WR Metcalf and TE Washington out, QB Aaron Rodgers should lean on Gainwell in the short passing game again with the potential for a more productive output and ladder yardage including 40+ receiving yards an alternative bet at +175 or better odds.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (back) practiced this week and says he will play in Week 18. Jackson’s strength when passing is attacking the middle-third of the field, and that’s also the Steelers defensive weakness. A combination of Steelers Cover 3 defense and front seven playing tight to the line of scrimmage to slow RB Henry should allow QB Jackson better opportunities with play-action. That will open up more receptions over the middle of the field and some potential big plays down the seams to the Ravens tight ends and more athletic Isaiah Likely. He had 4 catches on 6 targets for 25 yards and 1 touchdown in the Dec. 7 contest against the Steelers, and we're betting on more production along with TE Marc Andrews.

A winning season on NFL player props, but disappointing finish as we had a 12-0 run earlier this season. More ahead during the NFL Playoffs, including the Super Bowl, where we crushed it again last season on the Eagles win and the smorgasbord of player props.

Potential Playoff Matchups And Advance Lines

- LA Chargers at New England (-3), 45.5
- Buffalo (-1.5) at Jacksonville, 50.5
- Houston (-3.5) at Pittsburgh, 38.5

- Green Bay (-1.5) at Chicago, 47.5
- Green Bay at Philadelphia (-3), 43.5
- LA Rams (-4.5) at Chicago, 51.5
- LA Rams (-1.5) at Philadelphia, 46.5
- San Francisco (-1.5) at Chicago, 52.5
- San Francisco at Philadelphia (-2.5), 47.5

- Seattle (-6.5) at Tampa Bay, 44.5
- LA Rams (-9.5) at Carolina, 47.5
- LA Rams (-7.5) at Tampa Bay, 49.5

More updates and any potential added pick and props over the weekend as Week 18 volatility and situations create more chaos in evaluating the matchups and performances with teams determining which players will rest or play.

You can bet on it.
