Online poker site Full Tilt Poker is due to bring back its top-tier Black Card Program next month with players at other sites being invited to transfer status points from competing operators into its own loyalty programme.

Despite stating last year that it did not intend to target high-volume grinders, Full Tilt Poker revealed that the second incarnation of its Black Card Program will allow holders to gain up to 40 percent in rake-back and convert player points into cash instantly at full value.

In an effort to boost player numbers, the domain will also premiere its VIP Amnesty in April allowing players at other sites to transition their points to Full Tilt Poker as long as they grab a screenshot from a competing client and send it to BlackCard@FullTiltPoker.com.

"We understand that players have put many hours, weeks and sometimes months into earning their VIP status on other sites while unable to play on FullTilt Poker," said Sarne Lightman from FullTilt Poker.

"The VIP Amnesty will allow them to trial our Edge Rewards and Black Card Programs at the equivalent level and see for themselves the superior benefits their play level offers at FullTilt Poker."

In other news from FullTilt Poker, the online poker domain stated that it intends to launch a programme that will see some of its best cash, sit-and-go and tournament players rewarded with six-month sponsorship contracts. The site declared that winners are to be determined based on a set of performance criteria due to be agreed following consultation period.

"Over the next few weeks we will be reaching out to the poker community to help us design these performance metrics," said Lightman.

"We want the players who will be competing for sponsorship to design the measurement systems for their performance and we will then reward the best players."
