Betting Against Trump In State Of The Union Address

FairwayJay looks at the props offered during President Trump's State of the Union address.

The President is set to update Congress on the business of the nation. Get ready to bet on Trump's BS.

From the ridiculous and wacky Super Bowl props to the State of the Union, you can bet on just about anything these days. Many leading online sportsbooks offer special event betting, like the State of the Union Address by President Trump on Feb. 4. That includes SportsBetting.ag, who is taking a flurry of bets on 'over' the number of tweets President Trump will have during Tuesday's near 90 minute address to the nation. The number opened 5.5, and now the over/under on that Trump tweet prop is 9.5.

"We're getting hammered on Trump tweets," said Adam Burns, sportsbook manager at SportsBetting.ag.

Trump is getting hammered too for his incompetence and ignorance. And he deserves every bit of it.

In case you missed president Trump failing his geography exam during the Super Bowl, the 'dictator' congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs on their Super Bowl win, but apparently thinks that Kansas City is located in the state of Kansas.

"Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on a great game, and a fantastic comeback, under immense pressure," Trump tweeted. "You presented the Great State of Kansas and, in fact, the entire USA, so very well. Our Country is PROUD OF YOU!"

The president deleted the tweet just 12 minutes later.

Just another iteration of Trump's ignorance.

"It's Missouri you stone cold idiot," offered Claire McCaskill, a former Democratic senator from Missouri.

Donald trump State of the Union bettingFortunately, Trump has a pair of speechwriters that assemble the State of the Union speech that the not-so-tactful Trump will deliver to Congress. The theme of Tuesday's State of the Union is the "Great American Comeback." But unlike the Kansas City Chiefs fourth quarter rally in the Super Bowl, Trump may take an unsportsmanlike penalty and show some anger over the impeachment hearings rather than consenting to act traditionally presidential in his final address before the election

Trump's game plan is to stick to calling for legislation that adheres to his administration's policy goals. Tuesday's speech will focus heavily on health care access, prescription drug costs, immigration policy and a so-called blue-collar boom and national security according to the New York Times.

Senate leaders struck an agreement last Friday to hold the final vote to acquit President Trump on the two articles of impeachment at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday. By that time, the sportsbooks will have finalized the bets, and bullshit that Trump has tweeted and lied to our nation about before and during his State of the Union address to Congress on the business of the nation.

Bettors can hardly wait, even if the limits are heavily restricted with wagering on the amount of bullshit you expect Trump to tackle or go into a tirade about before Tuesday's State of the Union.

Since the president feels it's okay and acceptable to attack and degrade others, perhaps a counter punch is coming against this buffoon. It would be great if America would just sack the president and prevent him from rallying again like the Chiefs.

Unfortunately in Nevada and some other states with legal sports betting, there are restrictions on betting on events like Tuesday's State of the Union Address. For decades, Nevada sports books were restricted to offering props that take place on the playing field and those that could be verified in the box score. While Nevada regulators have relaxed their restrictions in recent years on those "propositional' offerings, it's the leading online sportsbooks offshore like BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag that provide bettors more options to tangle with Trump and cash in on his offensive remarks and Tuesday's State of the Union props.

Here are some of the props of interest that will provide more entertainment for people watching and wagering on president Trump's tirade, um, State of the Union. From approval rating, to non-facts (lies), tweets, viewers, country and wardrobe (will AOC wear a cape again?), you can bet that there will be plenty of back and forth banter along with a barrage of accusations by and against president Trump.

In total, SportsBetting.ag has set odds for more than a dozen State of the Union props. You can find all of them below and in real-time here

Additionally, the site has updated odds to win the Presidential Election, the Democratic nominee and the Iowa Caucus. It has also added odds for the New Hampshire Primary below.

The Republican nominee odds are also available but not listed here. In case you were wondering, President Trump is a 1/15 favorite to be the nominee while any other candidate has 8/1 odds.

Who will win the Iowa Caucusus? FiveThirtryEight projects the outcome.
