Bowmans Sportsbook were left counting the cost of their generous Tiger Woods USPGA offer after the world No1 claimed his 12th major title on Sunday. The intrepid sportsbook vowed to refund all losing golf stakes if Woods won the tournament and will now hand back a total of $250,000 in refunded bets to customers who wagered on the event.

”We took the view that Woods might struggle with his driver but that really wasn’t the case after he ran away with it by five clear shots,” said the firms odds guru Scott Kaminsky.

Much of the talk before the tournament was of how tough the high rough would play at Medinah but that didn’t prove to be the case. Kaminsky added: ”I read they removed 300 trees at Medinah since the last time they played in 1999, maybe they should have left them there!”

This was the 12th time out of 12 that Woods has converted a 54-hole lead at a major into victory.

”The writing was on the wall by Saturday night,” groaned Kaminsky. “But Bowmans will pay up with a smile on our faces because we firmly believe in giving our customers a sporting chance and this was a spectacular example of that.”

Meanwhile, with Tiger on the prowl Bowmans make his USA side -120 to claim the forthcoming Ryder Cup in Ireland with a (+0.5 start).

Ian Woosnam’s Europeans are trading at (+100) for Ryder glory.

If Tiger Woods wins the USPGA Championship at Medinah – Bowmans Sportsbook will refund all losing outright tournament win bets on the event!!!!

The Temporary Restraining Order preventing BETonSPORTS from doing business with any US Citizen was extended yesterday by Judge Carol Jackson in St. Louis. It’s unclear what effect the restraining order still has as BOS has closed its Costa Rica and Antigua offices and has told the world that they will no longer be doing business with US Customers. There is little doubt this will put a kink in any plans to begin payouts to customers.
