An all English affair highlights day one, as both Tottenham and Manchester City battle it out over two legs, for a rare visit to the Semi-Finals.

Four clubs in this season's quarter-finals represent the EPL, with at least one team guaranteed a spot in the final four. Spurs and Man City hope to earn that prestigious selection in Europe's top tournament, with each team pursuing their first ever Champions League trophy.

Tottenham will host their first ever European match at the new White Hart Lane, after an overwhelming success during league play last week. Spurs will now unveil their new digs for the whole world to see, with hopes of routinely showing off their state of the art stadium for many years to come.

Pochetinno's Time To Shine

Mauricio Pochettino has high hopes of collecting his first trophy with the club, now in his fifth season with the team, the Spurs headman carries a heavy burden to deliver silverware to the Tottenham faithful.

The Argentine will have plenty of important decisions to make regarding his starting eleven, understanding how important the first leg result is towards advancement, Pochettino cannot afford to make any mistakes when choosing his matchday rotation.

Harry Kane is an obvious choice to get the call atop the Spurs frontline. The English international carries the same burdens to lead his boyhood side to victory, also in search of his first trophy with the club, the team's leading goal scoring threat will be responsible for finding the back of the net on Tuesday night, and helping write his name in the clubs history book.

The remaining supporting cast is still up for debate, with Dele Alli almost certain to play behind Kane within the teams 3-5-1-1 formation, Son Heung-Min, and Lucas Moura is also in contention to get the starting nod, with each fully capable of challenging Man City's defender's with pace and technical abilities, Pochettino has plenty of important decisions to make.

The Spurs three-person backline will play a crucial role on the day as well, with Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sánchez, and Jan Vertonghen responsible for shadowing the Citizen's dangerous attacking options, their contributions will depend heavily on the overall outcome of this particular event.

Tottenham enters Tuesday's match undefeated in their last six Champions League matches while averaging two goals per game in front of their home supporters. Spurs have had their issues with Man City as of late, losing their last four matches in all competitions, they must raise their level of play to take a first-leg advantage to the Etihad next week.

Manchester City travels south to the capital city for this EPL encounter. The Citizen's are attempting to win a quadruple during the 2018-2019 season, with the Champions League title their primary focus.

Pep's Championship Pedigree

Pep Guardiola is no stranger to lifting trophies during his time on the sidelines, with 21 total honors to his name, the Spaniard expects to win every time he leads his team on the pitch.

Guardiola will have his work cut out for him if he expects to lift four trophies during the team's current campaign, arriving in north London his squad will play their fourth match over the past ten days, and making sure his team is fresh will be crucial to the clubs success.

The central figure in the Citizen's attack is a significant question mark heading up to game time. Sergio Aguero has failed to make the starting lineup since leaving in the second half against Fulham less than two weeks ago, after picking up a muscular injury the teams all-time leading scorer has been under an intense recovery program, hoping to return to action and help lead the line in Guardiola's lethal attack.

Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva are slated to handle the winger duties within City's 4-3-3 alignment. Sterling continues to evolve under the guidance of Pep's vision, and now the former Liverpool man is having a career year with 25 goals and 12 assists in all competitions, his finishing abilities will be required if his team has a realistic chance of lifting the ultimate trophy in June.

Kevin De Bruyne has been a welcome addition since returning from his spell on the injury list, with the Belgium playmaker an invaluable piece to the team's overall success, his unique vision, and passing abilities are world class, giving the Citizen's a real weapon with the ball at his feet.

Manchester City has been on a tear during European competitions, entering Tuesday's match having won six of their last seven Champions League matches, while scoring at least two goals per contest, with the total surpassing 2.5 in their last 13 UEFA outings.

Tottenham vs. Manchester City - Match Prediction

The stage could not be more significant for all teams involved, with the opportunity to represent arguably the best league in the world, we should witness top-flight football at its finest.

Tottenham will undoubtedly want to ride their home field advantage, with Spurs wishing to hit the back of the net early, they will want to get out and run using their well-choreographed counter-attacking system to their advantage.

The hosts understand how vital this first leg result can be, knowing that Man City has the second leg advantage, we should see a push to score as many times as possible before they return to Manchester in a weeks time.

Manchester City are well equipped to handle the host's dynamic attack, with a highly skilled back-line of their own, the Citizen's are one of the few teams in Europe who match up well against this Tottenham side.

Most teams would be satisfied with a 0-0 result heading home over two legs, but this Man City side is a different breed, only running at maximum speed, I expect them to push forward as if they were the team with the disadvantage.

Match Prop

Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Goals +100 / 2.0

Both teams are highly skilled in attack, with each averaging double-figure goals per match during their time in Champions League play. Each side does struggle to keep their opponents from creating shots on goal, based on their styles of play, and the stakes at hand, I expect nothing less than a multiple-goal effort on the final score-line.
