The Boston Red Sox travel to Target Field in Minnesota for a 3-game series beginning on Tuesday. Currently, the MLB betting odds at Betonline.ag is displaying Minnesota as a +163 money line home underdog.

Since 2015, Chris Sale has made 4 starts at Minnesota and struggled mightily while gathering a terrible 8.59 ERA during those appearances. Boston will be facing Minnesota starting pitcher Jose Berrios this evening. Berrios has an excellent 0.95 WHIP during 14 starts in 2018. The Red Sox are a dismal 9-17 this season when facing American League starting pitchers with a WHIP of 1.20 or better. Putting that record into proper perspective, Boston is 40-7 in all other games when not cast into that exact situation I just touched upon.

Berrios will be facing a Boston lineup that possesses a .261 team batting average heading into today. The Twins hurler is 10-0 in his home team starts since 2017 when going up against an American League club with a team batting average of .265 or worse.  The Twins bullpen has been solid throughout their previous 7 games which is proven by a 2.95 ERA as a staff during that time span.

Atlanta Braves (Soroka) @ Toronto Blue Jays (Garcia) 7:07 PM ET

The Braves and Blue Jays are set to open a short 2-game interleague series on Tuesday. The opening pitch from the Rogers Centre in Toronto is slated for 7:07 PM ET. According to the present MLB betting odds at 5Dimes, Atlanta is a money line road underdog of +100.

Toronto is coming off an 8-6 win over Washington in their previous game. Unfortunately for Blue Jays backers, their team is a dismal 2-8 this season following a game in which they scored 8 runs or more. Conversely, Atlanta has gone an extremely profitable 17-9 in 2018 as a money line underdog of +100 to +150.

Jaime Garcia of Toronto has shown very shaky form over his last 3 starts by compiling a sizable 6.39 ERA and 1.74 WHIP in those outings. His pitching adversary on Tuesday will be Atlanta’s Mike Soroka. The Braves right-handed hurler has accounted himself very well in 4 starts this season while collecting a sparkling 2.57 ERA.

The Cincinnati Reds are a poor 26-45 this season and that includes 11-23 at home. Sal Romano will make his 15^th start of the season for Cincinnati, and he’s accumulated an uninspiring 5.55 ERA thus far.

The Detroit Tigers have won 5 straight and that has improved their season record to 36-37 (.493). Matt Boyd is scheduled to be on the mound tonight for Detroit. Boyd has been consistently good in 2018 and that’s proven by his 3.23 ERA and 1.09 WHIP thru 13 starts.

Any team (Detroit) that’s won 5 or more games in a row, and they’re facing a club (Cincinnati) with a losing record, resulted in those teams going 115-63 (64.6%) against the money line since 1997.

A combination of the previously mentioned successful money line betting angle, and a favorable starting pitching matchup, is enough for me to take the road underdog in this game. After shopping for the best money line price, I located precisely that at Bookmaker.
