The end of the football season is upon us and online sportsbooks are offering hundreds of proposition or prop bets for Super Bowl 47. On this one game sportsbooks worldwide will take more action than on any single Sunday of NFL action during the regular season. Since the side and total absorb the majority of the Super Bowl betting on the board, an amazing array of interesting and potentially profitable wagers on everything from the coin toss to the color of Beyonce's top to which region of the country (Baltimore or San Francisco area) have been created to even out the action. Here are the prop bets that are worth throwing a few dollars on. Keep in mind, these bets are man-made odds, with very little to go on in the way of handicapping value and are certainly not something to "bet the house" on. Instead, have some fun and maybe cash a few wagers during the eternity that this game usually takes.

The best prop bet on the board is the Total Rushing Yards for Colin Kaepernick. Checking various online sportsbooks shows that the number here is a bit of a variable. Industry giant Bookmaker has the over/under for this prop bet set at 51.5 yards, Bovada has it at 50.5 and 5Dimes has the lowest total we found at just 43.5 yards (but with odds at -170 for over). This one is really a no brainer. If the 49ers are going to win Kaepernick must use his legs. If the Niners are behind, look for pressure and more pressure from Ray Lewis and Co. causing Kaepernick to scramble and chew up yardage. He averaged 6.6 yards per carry during the season with much higher averages per carry in the two previous playoff games. Kaepernick will run more than 8 times this game and that translates in to OVER for his total yardage.

This figures to be a tight game and the wager for first score of the game is always a good one.  Both of these coaches are not going to take any risks in the first half of the game. Neither team will not be going for it on 4th down or firing the ball down the field just a few minutes into the game. Yes, the 49ers have been excellent in the red zone, but Baltimore has a bend, don't break defense. The number for touchdown is giving odds at almost every sportsbook worldwide making the field goal or safety look very attractive at +115 or +120. Look for the first score of the game to be a field goal. In addition, there is a companion prop for will Baltimore and/or San Francisco make a field goal in the first quarter. Players can again get odds of +115 on this proposti-on bet.

The Ravens have showed a big play offense behind Joe Flacco in the playoffs. Both Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin have had big catches for big yardage in the playoffs. There is no reason to think that this is going to change. One of these two players will go over his posted number for total yards so bettors can just pick one and hope for the best. We think that Torrey Smith at over 61 yards at Bookmaker is a solid play. Bovada has Smith's total receiving yards at 65.5. This would be a good prop to do some shopping on.

And if this is not enough action, most offshore outlets will be offering Live Wagering during the game. 5Dimes does a good job of this during the regular season and other sports, so if you are interested in betting during the action, they are worth a look. If you are thinking of the Gatorade color, length of the National Anthem or any of these crazy props, you might as well bet the coin toss too. We suggest to limit your props to a few that you actually think about and have a chance to win, and have some fun betting NFL football for the last time until next fall.
