Novomatic secures Israeli National Lottery partnership

Integrated global gaming firm Novomatic has agreed a seven-year deal to provide its video lottery system to Mifal Hapais, operator of the Israeli National Lottery operator.

Under the agreement, which includes the option to renew for up to an additional 13 years, Novomatic will supply a central system, 150 retailer terminals and 500 of its latest generation video lottery terminals.

Novomatic will also provide customised games in addition to ongoing maintenance and support throughout the course of the deal.

Novomatic expects to generate approximately €23 million ($29.1 million) in revenue during the initial seven-year period of the contract.

"We are looking forward to many years of success, which will allow Mifal Hapais to increase the contribution for our good causes", Mifal Hapais chief executive officer Eli Dadon said.

"This is one of the first steps on our route to success in the world Lottery Association lottery market."

Thomas Graf, chief technology officer of Novomatic, added: "We are very proud to welcome our new customer Mifal Hapais to the Novomatic Group.

"It is positive proof of the market's need for more competition amongst the top tier providers, in order to bring innovation and value to this growing market."
