The Green Bay Packers can find their way to a victory in the NFC championship game as they face the Atlanta Falcons.

Despite the injury problems that continue to occur, can the Green Bay Packers keep the momentum up and earn a trip to the Super Bowl? This is a team on a torrid streak, which has now reached nine straight, including a victory over the top-seeded Dallas Cowboys last week on the road, and so they have every reason to believe they can get past the Atlanta Falcons, the highest-scoring team in the NFL, in the NFC Championship game, starting at 3:05 PM ET on Sunday, as the Georgia Done hosts its last game. There was plenty of criticism to go around after Green Bay found itself with a 4-6 record ten games into the season. The defense was a disaster area, having given up 89 points in a two-game period against Tennessee and Washington. And no wonder, with all the injuries in the secondary, which had taken at least three people out of action. Aaron Rodgers was perceived to be someone past his prime, although he had actually been putting up pretty good numbers. When things stabilized in the secondary, those numbers began to mean a lot more. And the Pack started winning. So here we are, and Rodgers has gone through the last nine games with 24 touchdown passes and only one interception. In fact, he had thrown 318 passes without getting picked off, until it happened against Dallas last week. Of course, there was that pass no one will ever forget, hauled in by tight end Jared Cook, which set up the winning field goal. Cook was not in the lineup when the Packers and Falcons met earlier - a 33-32 Atlanta victory. Neither was Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery (who has shifted to the backfield), Clay Mathews or cornerbacks Demarious Randall and Quentin Rollins. But those guys are likely to be available.

In the NFL playoff betting odds posted on this game by the people at BetAnySports, the Packers are the underdogs:

Atlanta Falcons -5.5
Green Bay Packers +5.5

Over 60.5 points -110
Under 60.5 points -110

Three receivers were in great question as to their availability for Sunday. Jordy Nelson injured his ribs against the Giants, but he will likely suit up, as will Davante Adams, who hurt his ankle against Dallas and rookie Geronimo Allison, who is dealing with a bad hamstring. If Morgan Burnett, the standout safety, can make it back (quad injury), the Packers will be well-equipped to deal with Matt Ryan going down the field.

There is evidence that the Packers can get a pass rush against Ryan, especially if they can dial up some blitzes. That is something defensive coordinator Dom Capers did on 29% of pass plays this season, but only three times against Ryan in the October 30 meeting. This would be the best way for Green Bay to deal with him. Without question, the Falcons' pass rush, which features Vic Beasley (15.5 sacks), could be mitigated by the Green Bay offensive line, which has been outstanding, considering that Rodgers often takes a lot of extra time before getting rid of the ball.

The Packers are the team with much more playoff experience, a lot of momentum, and only TWO turnovers in the last eight games. If they can avoid flipping the field here, and can run on first down with Montgomery (5.9 ypc), they can be hard to stop. They hung with Atlanta when not at full strength, and they can hang right in to the end here as well.
