The Oklahoma City Thunder failed to end their Western Conference finals series against the Golden State Warriors in Oakland the other night, but on Saturday they have a chance once again to clinch advancement to the NBA Finals.

The Oklahoma City Thunder put forth a nice effort in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals, but came up short in Oakland against the Golden State Warriors. Now the defending world champions will have to win on the road in order to keep their season alive, while Oklahoma City needs only to do what it has done twice already in this series, which is to beat Golden State on their home floor. Game time for Saturday action at the Chesapeake Energy Arena is 9 PM ET, with the contest televised over TNT, and BetAnySports customers have the opportunity to watch the game and place wagers in real time through the state-of-the-art software involved with Live Betting Ultra.

Golden State Warriors oddsIn the 120-111 Golden State victory on Thursday, Steph Curry scored 31 points and was able to get to the line more than he did previously. Draymond Green also came alive to some extent, with 13 rebounds and four blocked shots. The Warriors also had a 30-13 edge in scoring from the bench.

But Saturday's assignment will be no cakewalk, as the Warriors have been turned back with prejudice twice at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. They have lost both games there by a combined 52 points, and they shot 41% in each of those contests. Golden State is 36-11 straight-up on the road, including the playoffs, while Oklahoma City is 38-11 straight-up at home.

In the NBA playoff betting odds posted on this game by the people at BetAnySports, Oklahoma City is laying a small number:

Oklahoma City Thunder -2.5
Golden State Warriors +2.5

Over 220 points -110
Under 220 points -110

With the Thunder in Game 5, there was a lot of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to be seen, as they combined for 71 points. They also attempted 59 of the team's 91 shots between them, and logic dictates that 65% of all attempts is probably a little bit too much, as there was not enough ball distribution. Durant and Westbrook combined to shoot only 39% from the field, and even though be Thunder pulled down 13 offensive rebounds, it was not enough. They were also not getting very much out of their reserves. Dion Waiters went scoreless in almost 27 minutes off the bench, while Enes Kanter played only six minutes, scoring one point, and proving to be a defensive liability.

NBA playoff betting previewOne of the reasons for that was that Andrew Bogut finally came alive. BetAnySports patrons saw the former #1 overall choice make seven out of his nine field-goal attempts, finishing with 15 points and 14 rebounds. He also kept his fouling in check, as he was called for only three personals. If Golden State can continue to get anywhere near that kind of production out of their center, they have a genuine chance to complete a comeback from the 3-1 deficit, something that only nine teams in the history of the NBA have done in a playoff series.

Westbrook has averaged 28 points and 11 assists, shooting 41% from the field during this series. But he is 32% when Curry is the primary man guarding him, and we mentioned that because there were some dismissive remarks made by Westbrook and Durant about Curry's defensive ability during a press conference. If Curry, who is shooting 42.6% during this series, can get really hot, the Warriors have a chance to steal one on Oklahoma City's home court, and that changes things in just about every way.

At the moment, Oklahoma City is the -220 favorite to win the series, with Golden State priced at +180 at BetAnySports, where you can get reduced juice wagering on all of your NBA playoff betting action, in addition to the ability to participate in the liveliest in-game betting available anywhere on the planet...
