The Golden State Warriors can sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games for the NBA title if they win at the Quicken Loans Arena on Friday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing an embarrassment - an injury to their pride, of sorts - as they hope to avoid getting swept at the hands of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. Although they won't admit it right now, they hope to avoid adding insult to injury as was the case with the Oklahoma City Thunder a couple of seasons ago. Friday night's action tips off at 9:05 PM ET at the Quicken Loans Arena, and if you are a BetAnySports customer, you'll have an opportunity to place wagers even after the game starts, as you access the state-of-the-art software from Live Betting Ultra.

The Cavs seem to have lost a little spirit after that awful loss in the first game, when they really could have made this a different series. They just haven't had enough in the last two games when it really counted, and they still haven't shown very much ability to hit long-range shots. In Game 1 they hit just 27%, followed by 33% in Game 2 and 29% in Game 3. As a team that attempted more three-pointers than all but four teams this season, the Cavaliers came into this series dead set on using that as a weapon. But that hasn't been the case. Kyle Korver, who can usually shoot from a mile away and is one of the league's all-time best, has made just one field goal out of ten tries in this series.

As usual, the story is that LeBron James' teammates aren't doing quote enough to support him, although the pattern of the Cavs isn't necessarily to get everyone involved on the offensive end. And in Game 3, they allowed the Warriors to gain the critical edge in the third quarter, as the W's made up a halftime deficit and took the lead. If there was a pleasant surprise, it was Rodney Hood, the forgotten man who earned himself some more playing time in this desperation game with 15 points.

In the NBA Finals betting odds that have been posted on this game by the folks at BetAnySports, the Warriors are once again the road favorites:

Golden State Warriors -4
Cleveland Cavaliers +4

Over 216 points -110
Under 216 points -110

Cleveland couldn't put a win on the board despite Steph Curry going just one-for-10 from three-point range, and fifteen more offensive rebounds, which brings their total up to 50 for the series. They couldn't force many turnovers (only ten) and allowed Kevin Durant to run wild with 43 points. Perhaps the presence of Andre Iguodala had something to do with it; he came back from his injury and gave the team 22 quality minutes.

Four different Golden State starters logged 39 minutes or more, so they worked hard to get out to this 3-0 lead. The rumor mill is swirling; LeBron can test the free agent market in the summer, and word is that he will be talking to the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets, and yes, the Warriors, in his "super-team" quest. So this might be the last time fans at the "Q" see him in a friendly uniform. Do you remember a couple of years ago when the Warriors snagged Durant after they eliminated OKC in the West finals? That same thing could happen with the Cavs, and we'll hear a whole lot of talk about whether this is all good for the NBA.

But in this possible farewell, one would expect that the Cavs will put up a special effort, since it is probably the last time they will all be together. It will be particularly important to the guys like Kevin Love, JR Smith and Tristan Thompson. Meanwhile, Golden State, at least subconsciously, knows that it can always clinch the title in the next game. We'll take the points here as we anticipate something of a "gimme."
