The Miami Heat are little banged up, and that's not advantageous as they visit the Golden State Warriors in Tuesday night NBA action.

The Miami Heat have lost eight of their last nine games, and they could hardly be considered road-friendly. So it is obviously not with a full head of steam that they pull into Oakland on Tuesday night to face off against the Golden State Warriors in a game that will begin at 10:35 PM ET at the Oracle Arena. BetAnySports customers can get reduced juice on this game before it starts, and then they can access Live Betting Ultra to stay in the action with real-time wagering.

Golden State is on top in the Western Conference, but they certainly are not going to match last year's 73-9 record. Still, they are sizzling at 32-6 (60-21-1 ATS), although they have the San Antonio Spurs hot on their trail, just a game and a half behind. This is happening even as the Warriors have won 12 of their last 14 games, with the latest a 117-106 victory against the Sacramento Kings, in which they exploded for 39 points in the third quarter.

Miami Heat previewMiami has just played two games at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, losing to both the Lakers and the Clippers. There were disparate results on the defensive end for them in the two games, and perhaps that reflects the return of Hassan Whiteside to the lineup in the game against the Clippers. Against the Lakers they had given up 50% shooting and 127 points. The Clippers only got 42% from the field and 98 points against them, but the Heat, one of the worst offensive teams in the league, shot just 37% and tallied only 86 points. On the season, the Heat have averaged 95.5 points as the road club.

In the NBA betting odds posted on this game by the people at BetAnySports, Golden State is favored by a bunch:

Golden State Warriors -16
Miami Heat +16

Over 219 points -110
Under 219 points -110

There have been a rash of injuries bothering this Heat squad, which sits at 11-28 straight-up, with only the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers possessing worse records in the East. Whiteside had sat out four games after being poked in the eye against the Boston Celtics. His presence is obviously important, because he's the guy who leads the league in rebounding (14.3 per game). And obviously, he is an intimidating presence in the middle. Miami has been handicapped defensively by the loss of Justise Winslow, who won't be returning this season after injuring his shoulder in that same game against Boston. And for this game they will be without Josh Richardson, who's got a sprained foot. They have won just one of their last 11 road games.

Golden State Warriors betting previewThe Warriors are shooting almost 50% for the season and they are #1 in Offensive Rating, which measures points per 100 possessions. They have three players scoring over 20 points per game, and obviously that includes their MVP duo, Kevin Durant (25.9) and Steph Curry (24.8). A lot of people thought that they would have a hard time playing together, but as BetAnySports patrons have seen, it only took a few games for these unselfish superstars to mesh. And it really helps when you have a do-it-all player like Draymond Green filling in all the blanks. It is a rarity that someone who plays the power forward position, and occasionally assumes the center spot, to lead his team in assists, but Green does just that, at 7.6 per game. And what is interesting about what Golden State can do is that it can go to a small lineup that is very effective, which might force Miami coach Eric Spoelstra to take Whiteside off the floor, because frankly, there wouldn't be anyone to guard down low.

Of course, this would be contingent upon the Warriors being able to get their shots from the outside. They have shot almost 52% over the last eight games, but they've covered only one of those. They are simply laying huge pointspreads of late, and while that may not be a concern for coach Steve Kerr, it would be worrisome for those people considering backing them in the NBA betting odds.
