The Chicago Bulls have some internal problems to deal with as they take the floor against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.

There may not be a team in the NBA that has as much internal turmoil as the Chicago Bulls right now. It seems the veteran players are angry at the youngsters; the youngsters are angry at Dwyane Wade, and Rajon Rondo is angry at Wade and Jimmy Butler. Can they manage to co-exist for much longer? That's a really good question, and it impacts every game this team plays. It wouldn't be such a big deal, except that Chicago is fighting for playoff spot right now, and they would try to take a step forward on Sunday night when they play host to the Philadelphia 76ers in NBA basketball betting action that begins at 8:05 PM ET. BetAnySports has reduced juice so that customers can get better odds, and once the festivities have begun, they can take advantage of what is available through the phenomenon known as Live Betting Ultra.

Chicago comes in with a record of 23-25 straight-up and 22-26 against the basketball pointspread. They are tied with the Charlotte Hornets for the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia got off to a lousy start this season, losing the first seven games, but they've been okay of late, winning 10 of the last 14 and covering 12 of those. They have found the mark as well, shooting 50% or better in each of their last three, and they are not totally out of the playoff race either, sitting just 4.5 games back of the Bulls and Hornets with a 17-28 record (27-17-1 ATS).

Joel Embiid, the rookie center who was a notable snub off the Eastern Conference All-Star team, will sit out the front end of this back-to-back set for the Bulls, playing tomorrow night instead. He has been referred to by no less an authority than Houston Rockets superstar James Harden as the "most skilled big man" in the NBA. Indeed, he is on his way to being a difference-maker, and in fact, may already be there. The Sixers' turnaround has come largely without the contribution of Ben Simmons, the #1 overall draft pick this season, Jahlil Okafor, who has been in and out of the lineup, and Nerlens Noel, who is seemingly habitually injured.

In the NBA basketball betting odds posted on this game by the folks at BetAnySports, Chicago is the favorite:

Chicago Bulls -6.5
Philadelphia 76ers +6.5

Over 205 points -110
Under 205 points -110

Rondo posted something on Instagram that turned out to be explosive. He was responding to Wade and Butler, who were critical of their younger teammates after a loss on Wednesday to Atlanta. Wade said, "I don't know that they care enough." Butler chimed in with "if you're not pissed off that you lost, man, something is wrong." Then Rondo took to his Instagram account and implied that those two players had "influence" on the coaching staff and that they cared primarily about their "numbers." He concluded by saying "if anything is questionable, it's the leadership."

If Wade and Butler were pissed off, they didn't really reveal it. They know that Rondo can be a loose cannon; he has been benched at times by coach Fred Hoiberg and had a blow up earlier in the season with an assistant coach, which landed him a suspension. But BetAnySports patrons should also know that Wade has not exactly been all that good for team chemistry. At a meeting on Friday morning, where the team was supposed to air everything out, it was mentioned by some of the younger players that Wade needed to skip practice less. That's important for anyone who desires to lead by example.

Whether Hoinerg has control of this locker room is not really known. But we can tell you that it is a tremendous advantage for the Bulls not to have to face Embiid, who is averaging over 20 points and 7.8 rebounds. You see, Chicago leads the league in rebounding, and they are also the best in defensive rebounding, with a number of people chipping in, including Rondo, the 6-1 guard, who has 4.5 boards on the defensive end per game. When the Sixers were missing Imbiid in the previous meeting against Chicago, they wound up on the short end of a 105-89 score, and it will be difficult to imagine that they could have a big shooting night without him drawing attention in the middle. Let's see what happens with the Bulls, who did not exactly come out and play inspired basketball after their team meeting, losing to the Miami Heat, and committing 20 turnovers in the process (pardon the pun). Philadelphia has coughed the ball up 21 more times in four of its last six games, and they are coming off a Friday loss to the Houston Rockets in which Harden scored 51 points, nullifying Embiid's 32-point performance.
