Delaware NFL Parlay Wagering Report - Week 12

Free picks and advice for this week's NFL 1/2 point parlay card being offered by Delaware at sports betting outlets.

In response to numerous requests and increasing public demand, welcome to "The Delaware NFL Wagering Report". Delaware, known as "the first state" has built upon that innovative reputation by becoming the first state to offer a form of LEGALIZED and regulated sports betting outside of Nevada.

Delaware's restricted menu of parlay and teaser wagering does offer bettors an opportunity to wager on NFL football. More importantly the opportunity to cash potential winnings 7 days a week at over 150 outlets within the state's borders. What originated at their three racetrack "racinos" has grown tremendously in popularity over the last five years while bordering states including New Jersey struggle with legislation to override the federal PASPA law (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act) to introduce full single-game sports wagering.

We salute Delaware for its aggressive approach while we wait it out to someday see unrestricted sports wagering legalized in the U.S. In the meantime, "The Delaware NFL Wagering Report" will feature the best opportunities currently available comparing Delaware's posted wagering lines to a consensus of wagering lines offered at the most established and noted offshore sportsbooks including Heritage Sports, Diamond Sports and BetOnline.

Delaware's betting menu encompasses two main opportunities – Parlay wagering and Teaser betting. That is primarily where we will set our weekly focus. Due to legal statutes set under PASPA, a minimum of 3 NFL teams are required for a wager. They also offer Super Teasers and Reverse Teasers as part of their wagering options but I would highly discourage these exotic options due to extremely disadvantageous odds.

New wagering lines are initially posted around 11:00 AM each Wednesday. The MAJOR BENEFIT TO YOU is knowing these odds are locked on a wagering card up until kickoff time of each NFL game. The negative factor is the slight reduced payoff in odds compared to traditional payoffs for parlays and teasers in Nevada or any top sportsbook.

For example: a 3 team parlay in Delaware pays 6.5 FOR 1 or 5.5 TO 1. At most online sportsbooks the common payoff would likely be 6 TO 1. The major advantage of course is the convenience of potentially collecting in-person with zero associated fee. However, all winning payoffs over $600 must be redeemed at the 3 Delaware racinos (Delaware Park, Dover Downs or Harrington Raceway).

Under the Microscope – Best Bet Opportunities 11/24/15

Immediately you could gain a POTENTIAL Thanksgiving holiday advantage wagering on the Detroit Lions, who are listed as a Pick-em or -.5 on the Delaware 1/2 point parlay card. They're currently zooming to -2 at Diamond Sports and -2.5 at Bovada. With Bovada's penchant fortifying favorites, it's possible they could boost the Lions to -3 at game time. This is not to suggest Detroit is by any means a lock but our first example of an obvious comparison advantage.

On the flip side it is also a rule that there are no ties or pushes in Delaware. Expect the Indianapolis Colts to remain firmly at -3 over the Tampa Bay Bucs at kickoff. However on the DE Parlay card the Colts are listed at -3.5. That extra half point for the Bucs is a huge advantage in what should be a tight game in where Tampa Bay could also win outright. Both teams are coming off big upset wins. The Colts late victory over the Falcons and the Bucs blowout over the Eagles in Philadelphia.

Over/Under Totals are also a popular part of the wagering menu in both Delaware parlay & teaser cards and an important aspect we'll keep note of. For example: this week Arizona is at San Francisco where the Total opened up at 45. It has quickly dropped to 44 at this juncture and perhaps may go lower. It is listed on the Delaware parlay card at 45.5. With the 49ers offense going nowhere under back-up QB Blaine Gabbert and the Cardinals likely due to for an off week, the line might be telling us something here. With a potential full 2 point Totals advantage this looks like a solid Under play.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all. Do your homework and may the numbers be with you.
